The smoke dissapaded. Raiku softly landed on the rocks of the mountain. The very mountain that he taught himself the power he now possessed. Raiku looked back to check on Aramil, the first teleportation was never pleasant.

There was silence for a moment, then aramil came out of teleportation in mid-scream, landing on his belly onto the rock forcefully, a loud groan following soon after. The boy picked himself up off the rock floor, grunting and brushing the rubble and dirt off his blue tunic.

Raiku laughed for a moment. It had taken him years to land on his feet. "Now then, faire-fire." Raiku stared at a nearby tree, and pointed at it. Thousands of little sparks shot from his finger towards the tree. They spiraled to-and-fro and eventually hit the tree. The flames erupted, and yet the tree remained unharmed, even the leaves cassualy fell to the ground just as the would during this time of the year. Raiku faced another tree, approximatly 20 or so yards away. "You try."

Aramil pointed to the tree, trying to remember some of the things dark had said before. Calm your mind, imagine your objective...
After about twenty seconds, a single spark sputtered, landing a few inches away from him. Aramil opened his eyes, dissappointed.

"Excellent!" Raiku slowly walked up to him and patted him on the back. "But you must feel it!" Raiku firmly press upon Aramil's back, sending waves of energy into him. He could feel the small elf's body tense as the energy flowed from his back, into his spine and every appendage. Aramil's finger was full of energy now, "Point, and feel!

Aramil became quite scared as his body seemed to suddenly crackle with magical energy. He could feel the flow running through him, through his mind, and out his extended finger, sending much brighter sparks flying all over the tree. from a pitiful flicker to powerful dazzling flares. It was frightening, yet awesome and empowering. He smiled widely, the same way a kid would when someone is pushing him on a bike. So this is what it felt like to do it right.

"Feels good, does it not?" Raiku asked Aramil in a soft, peaceful tone. "That was the feeling of victory, the feeling of power, the feeling of being better than everyone else! The power you just felt can be easily acquired." He turned and began walking in the opposite direction of Aramil, "However...it is no easy task. You must be willing to spend the majority of your time training. Are you ready to truly begin?"

"But.. I don't understand. Why would I want to be better than anyone else? They're my friends... and when will i get to see them again? And where are we..? And what did you do before when you put your hand on my back? And-"

Raiku shook his head,"It does'nt matter. Being better is the only thing that can keep you safe. Your friends will betray you Aramil." He said, leaning closer to him. "Why do you think Dark would not teach you magic like this?" Raiku told him, pointing to the tree that Aramil had just lit aflame. "She fears your potential. She...doesnt want you to be better than her, because she wants all the power to herself. Your friends, they are selfish. We will see them again, but first we must train."

"That doesn't sound like them," replied the boy, frowning. "If they're my friends, they would never betray me." maybe this was a mistake, maybe dark was right. But.. if he could learn to use magic like that, when he came back he would show dark that he could do it to. He could prove to her that he could learn. She would be impressed.

"You would be surprised." Raiku said. "People will do anything to keep others from growing more powerful than them, even your friends."

"Well.. Teach me anyway," he said, planning not to overthrow Dark or any of the others, but to impress them and make them proud. "I'm ready, I think."

"Good. You remember how the fairie fire felt as it coursed through your body right?"

The child nodded. He figured Raiku wanted him to demonstrate, so he turned to the tree again. It's a similar feeling to having someone pisition your arms and legs when you're learning to dance. Once it's shown to you, it's much easier than simply hearing it and trying to do it yourself. Aramil tried to recall that same flow, and although he didn't have the gigantic capacity, or the powerful gushing energy runing through him, he did manage to send a few glimmering sparks and flickering flames shooting toward the tree. "Ha! I did it!" he said excitedly.

Raiku nodded, "Excellent." He paced around Aramil, giving the intimidating presence that Raiku was known for. "This spell is used to frighten, not to harm." He wanted to start Aramil off with something a little less...destructive, shall we say. Thinking of the best way to ween the little elf from little globes of light, to explosive orbs of destruction, he congratulated him again. "That was good, but it is getting late." Raiku was behind Aramil at this point. "I am going to find shelter. I will find you in the morning." Without giving Aramil a moment to think of his options, he teleported away. As the dust from the mountaintop dissapaded one word echoed throughout the valley, "Survive!"
(Oho! Did'nt see that coming did you! I will be the narrator until morning.)
