Amy peeked down from her post in the crows nest. Her bright, rainbow striped shirt could probably be seen from 2 miles away but she didnt care. She liked the shirt. She noticed her captian give a flippant wave to some one with a little kid. " 'EY CAPITON! WHO'S THAT?"

Aramil already liked the girl with the rainbow shirt and the funny voice... He could hear her from a mile off, though it was only a few score feet. The boy gave Raiku a look, waiting to see how he responded.

Raiku walked closer to the captain, keeping a powerful hand upon Aramils back. "Too long it has been milady!" Raiku said as he twisted his hand in the air, summoning a 'pirate' hat. He tipped it and bowed low. Sure, he may have been a vile-evil creature, but Raiku still had friends. "Aw, I saw your ad for a cabin boy, are you still in the market?"

The captain nodded. She hardly ever smiled. Even if she did, nobody could see, thanks to the black, silken mask that hid most of her face. "I've been looking for someone to do that job, aye. Is that what this little one is for?" She motioned to Aramil. "The kid IS a boy, right?" She did not wait for an answer. She looked up into the crow's nest at the broghtly-colored woman there. "It's just Raiku and a friend. No worries!"

Aramil looked confused and a little insulted... "Yes I'm a boy!" he remarked, still not understanding that Dert was a girl's name. Well, at least he liked the colorful one in the ship's tower thing. The lil elf wondered what it was called. "When do we leave?" he asked, already half forgetting why he was upset with the captain.

(( Im slightly insulted by the "Cosette" part in your signature Zeph. And what's the book about? ))
Amy nodded. "H-OKEY! err AYE!" She took out her telescope and started looking at random people on the shore. She smiled at the thought of going up to someone, while looking though the end that made everything far away, and yelling greetings at them. She decided against it when she noticed some of the guardsmen rounding the corner.
"Well there goes my entertainment." Amy muttered to herlself before slumpting down against the mast.

Raiku snickered, "Yes, he is a boy." He pushed Aramil up the ramp onto the ship, "go make yourself useful...go clean something." He forced the boy into one of the shipmates, who immedietly led him out of Raiku's sight. Where was he going to go? It was a ship!
Raiku walked the rest of the way up the ramp, and turned to face the same direction as the captain. "How long has it been?"

"Too long, Raiku." The captain extends a bejewled hand to her friend. "Naburine is back in business and always ready to help yeh out."

Aramil had been led downstairs, and handed a scrub brush and a bucket of water. "Why don't we just let the rain wash it away?" the boy asked the gruffy looking sailor, who had no response other than a grunt and a shove. Regaining his balance, Aramil stuck his oingue out at the big man's back, and looked around. No one was really watching him yet, all getting ready to take off. He ditched the brush and bucket for the moment. He'd do it later of course, but right now he wanted to explore the ship.

Raiku shook the womans hand, imagining all of his previous adventures with her. "I am glad to hear it. Tell me, when do we set sail?"

Amy carefully backed down the ladder to the deck a few steps at a time. She had no problem going up the ladder but comming down was a different story entirely. when she was about a foot away from the botem she hopped off the ladder and turned around smiling trimphantly. She saw the little guy neglecting his work and mosied on over to him.
"Hey kid what's yer name?"

Aramil saw the pirate girl with the rainbow shirt, and smiled and waved. "Hi I'm-" he began, before coughing into his fist (falsely). He had to sound tough to be taken seriously with these folk. He puffed out his chest and gave her a 'suave' look. "I mean, I'm Aramil," the little elf said in a slightly deeper voice. It's hard to sound tough with a name like Aramil however...

Naburine runs her fingers through her long hair that was always so full of body. "I think that I would like to go as soon as possible, but 'possible' does not come until my shipment arrives. I suppose there is time to show the little one around." Captain Naburine looks at Raiku with her caramel eyes. "Why do you have the little drag queen with you, anyway?"

Amy bit her lip to keep from smiling and managed to sqeak out a: "Nice to meet you." whithout laughing at his atempt to be more 'manly'. After calming herself a bit she introduced herself. "Well I'm Amy. I work up there in the crows nest. and I can see you've been doing your job too..." She gazed pointedly at the almost untouched bucket and brush.

The boy's face flushed a little, as his bravo slowly deflated. "Oh.. I was just.. I.. uh.. I just wanted to go looking around a little first... Don't want to get lost," he said, coming up with a quick viable excuse. He had a feeling that he'd have to come up with better excuses in the future when he confronted the captain.
