Naburine was being noisily sick in the bushes, which was quite the surprise to any who had known her for a while. Thank goodness she was able to get her mask out of the way first... The scene had been too much for her to handle. She was a ninja, a pirate, and a dancer, not a mage and not an expert in vampires. As unhappy as she was to admit it to herself, Naburine found herself being deathly afraid of both Shivelle and Vincent... but mostly Vincent.
Shivelle breathed hard, her rage still flowing through her blood like a terrible current of electricity. In a terrible voice, though not as terrible as that of Vincent's, she snapped, "I will leave the monster be if he will let me be. I had no intent to harm him! What right did he have to say such things to me? Yes, we've both been hurt, but that does not mean I can simply ignore what he has said!"
Dark stepped forward, her almighty presence coming back. Sternly, she looked Shivelle straight in the eyes. "You will stop this now, or I will be forced to harm you in order to keep you under some control. We have children here."
Shivelle looked as if she was about to retort, but Dark turned her back to the vampiress in order to look at her husband. "What a wonderful way to come back to the family, dearest." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "Rikimaru, we have children here, for heaven's sake! They do not need to witness the gate of hell itself in the form of an old family friend, nor do they need to witness a old couple's painful quarrel. Vincent is causing more trouble than he is worth now. He is no longer who he once was, and he is a problem now. Get that abomination out of my sight, and out of the children's sight."
Her anger was kindled. There was no arguing with an angry Dark Beauty. Her husband had been gone for years, leaving her with two children to care for on her own, and now he suddenly appears with a flourish, brandishing the Aether Guardian as if he was some toy to be proud of and telling her that he and the others had all left her to go to hell. Right now, the last phrase was sounding like a rather nice thing to scream. Certainly, she was happy to have her husband back, but who on earth would not be embittered by that string of events?
"And you," she fumed, spinning on her heal to glare at Snowbird, Tai, and Aramil. "What were you thinking? Is this the kind of thing you wanted to see? Is this enough adventure for you all? Is this enough of the real world to keep you happy? Don't you understand that this is dangerous? And no, Aramil, danger is not always fun." She did not pause in her scoldings, and she looked at the children as if they were they had made the most ignorant decision in their entire lives. "You simply don't understand, do you? I have no idea where we are going or who we are looking for. This is not some kind of mission that petty assasins go off to perform, nor is it some wild adventure that you might hear of in fairy tales. I do not want to have any of you be hurt. Now we are even travelling with dangerous creatures." Her cerulean eyes turned to throw frost at Shivelle and the men who had just arrived. Shivelle bared her teeth in response, and Dark rolled her eyes. "Oh, Magus, do something to calm her down, will you? You can't take a hint from your own emotions, so I might as well tell you flat out to do something since you're too dense to figure out that you're the only one she'll calm down for." That comment surprised Shivelle enough to make her stop looking like she wanted to eat everyone.
Turning back to the children, Dark continued. "Now, I know I cannot stop you if you want to continue. You'll find some way to get what you want. However, I am telling you now to go home."
Without waiting for an answer, the sorceress turned sharply to look at everyone who was not a child, her hands folded across her chest, her beauty suddenly adding to her dangerous look. "Now, are we quite finished? Vincent, I apologize, but somewhere in that body, where the real you is hiding, you know you cannot be around us." She turned to her husband. "Sending him back will be better for everyone. You won't have to worry about protecting him if he's in the other demention, he won't make Shivelle lose control, he won't scare the children - or Naburine - and he will not make such rude and half-mad comments."

Riki opened his mouth to speak, but let his words fall silent. "If only it were that easy." He whispered to himself. He knelt by Khrog, whipsering quickly and the dwarf nodded. "Of course Lad. Godspeed." The dwarf bowed and waddled off in Vincent's directiong, the two vanishing off into the woods.
Tesshu stood afar fff in the distance, Calintz and Djinn by his side. "I guess we 'creatures' should travel another path to." His tone was slightly hurt, but he shook his head and turned his head skyward. "We'll follow a distance off. Godspeed."
Riki nodded, watching his rag tag grop of men vanish from his sight. "A family sight indeed." He cursed himself with a sigh.

Magus glared at the hysterical elf woman. Who did she think she was to order him around like that? Perhaps the majority of people here found her a motherly figure, but not him. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up, as he kept himself from doing something incredibly rash. He closed his eyes, making very quickened arcane gestures, and with the same sound as a blade being drawn, he vanished.
Aramil recoiled noticably from Dark, a good ten feet or so, not even on his feet yet. First he was nearly ambushed, hurled up into the air, witness to a rift opening form some dark plane and something stepping from it, and then his head was bitten clean off by a loud array of verbal assaults. .. he clenched his teeth together and tried to stare at the ground, letting his lengthy bangs hide his face.. but he couldn't stop it. He began crying, trying hard to keep it quiet and unnoticable.

Shivelle, thinking about her rash actions, mellowed down once Dark had finished her tirade. Her wings began to withdraw, and her fangs became shorter. She had hoped within that maybe Magus would have tried to make her feel better in some way. She might have guessed he'd take offense to Dark's business-like way of getting what needed to be done taken care of. She remained silent, looking down to the ground. She only looked up when Naburine's hand was tentitively placed on her shoulder.
Dark noted the hurt in the air, but she did not have time to let her motherly feelings get the better of her judgement. If they wanted to take offense to her to-the-point comments, so be it. At least now things were not totally up in the air. She hated being a monster, but if she had to do it, she would. Hanging her head slightly, she breathed deeply. "I wish I could apologize right now, but it would not be heartfelt at this moment in time, so I would feel wrong doing it. Let me cool down and I will be my normal self. Forgive my hotheadedness. Too many terrible things have happened within the past few days to fully alter my life, and it is difficult to cope with." She looked at her husband sadly. "I really am glad that you are back, Riki, though it does not look like it now." Unable to do anything else, she turned to her children and Aramil. She noted the little elfling's silent tears and felt her heart sag. She could not let that get the better of her judgement, however. "Now, children, I know I was harsh, but you must try to understand that it is only because I care for you and wish you to be safe." Holding one of her hands out to them, she looked with pleading eyes at the young beings. "Please, let me send you back home."
Snowbird, her white dress blowing slightly in the breeze, looked at her mother with tearful black eyes. Unable to say anything, she looked at her twin, as if to decide what to do through him. In the end, she looked back at Dark Beauty and held out her own hand, taking her mother's in a child's trusting hold. "Send me back, Mother. I'm sorry." Dark smiled sadly and pulled her daughter close, giving her a gentle hug. "And I am sorry, too, Elauna. Thank you for going back." Snowbird managed a weak smile, and then closed her eyes as her mother began to gather in the Will Power to send her back to the village. With the muttered word, "Home," Snowbird disappeared.

Tai stared, his gaze hard on this...father. "...Send me home as well mother. It is my duty to protect my sister." He shot a glance back at Rikimaru. "And some of us stick around to fulfill said duties." With the last comment he turned his back, taking his mother's hand.
Riki stood quiet, stone-like as he crossed his arms over his chest He only watched as Dark prepared to send their other child home as well. Despite his vast rtaining, he could not help but to feel as a failure to the young man. so much pain felt in him Riki wondered where his true priorities lie.

Dark looked at her son somewhat reproachfully for his disrespectful comment, but she found that she could not disagree with him in honesty. She only muttered, "Take care with the judging of your father, Tai," before sending him back to the village with his twin. The sorceress breathed in deeply, trying once again to regain her usual calm. She looked at Aramil, wondering if he would follow his natural instinct for danger or actually do what she wished. After a brief pause, she decided it would probably take the little one more time to think about. The woman bent down, touching the boy's face gently and looking at him. "Aramil, I did not mean to hurt you so. I love you. Please forgive me for my rash words and at least think about my wish for your safety." Dark stood up, her usual calm appearance restored. She walked hesitantly to her husband, her eyes apologetic but longing. "Darling, please forgive me; and Tai'sho. Surely you understand how we might be feeling..." Breaking off her sentence, Dark took in a shuddering breath and opened her arms to him, a silent plea for an embrace to both forgive and to comfort her... and him.

"I wish not for forgiveness I don't deserve." He spoke after embracing her quietly. "I pursued others, when I need to learn I have a family now. And though once my life was to live to protect others, I see now I have neglected protecting the thing closest to me. My family." He said with a sigh. "Forgive me Love, for even we Angel's fall short somedays..."

Dark gently pressed a slender finger against Rikimaru's lips with a slight smile. "Everyone does. The important thing is that you have returned." She looked down slightly and said in a low voice for only his ears, "You know, I was not calling Tesshu or the others 'creatures.' I was referring to the vampires in our midsts... I only looked to them because they were reponsible for Vincent's presence." She looked back up into his eyes, her arms that had slid around his neck letting one of her hands play with his silvery hair. "I do expect an explanation of everything, you know... I still know nothing." Dark got on her tip-toes to peck her husband lightly on the lips before turning again to Aramil. "Have you decided, yet, Aramil? And Thistle, this could apply to you as well..."

(AAARG! Stop having these post fests without me!)
Thistle sighed and hung her head. She knew she would be of no use at all. Plus she should probably be looking after her own troublesome child. "Ya, I guess I'd better be off. Dont get yourself killed or nothing." With that the pixie zipped off back home.
Perin watched most of this without any reaction. She had delt with deamons from hell a fair share of times. She was even friends with one or two. She smirked when she saw the anger on Dark's face and decided to speak up. "Well. if you dont need me for tracking then I think I might travel behind with the rest of the 'creatures'. We all know Deekin is one of those... and I'm the only one stopping the rest of you from killing him to shut him up."
Deekin stopped crying and looked up casting a hurt and offended look at his 'boss'. "Deekin not annoying."

The wind whipped and assaulted the mage from high above the ground, quite a while away from where he had teleported to. Everything was dark, and cold up here. Here he could be reminded of what it was he'd lived through to come to where he stood today. What mattered, and what didn't in the grand scheme of things. That arrogant woman.. that over-controlling witch. Ironic actually.. he had thought before that she was not a mother to him.. yet she reminded him so much right now of his own. The thought of that woman made him grin with a sadistic satisfaction, knowing that she was dead and rotting in some dark plane, likely the same one that vampire is attatched to. H wouldn't let anyone control him again, not any king, not his mother, not dark, and not his own feelings. Even the ones toward her. He'd return.. but not until daybreak. He'd prefer to suffer the dark and the cold rather than the chains of humanity tonight.
Aramil had huddled himself into a ball, burying his face between his knees and locking them in with his arms while Dark spoke to him. "No.. " he replied sharply. I'm going to stay. I"m not a little kid, I can help too." he sniffed and wiped away his tears, scowling as he rose to his feet, his face stained pink from the tears .

Riki sighed and nodded. "I know you did not mean it love...But you have yet to hear our tale. We all sacrificed something in the Aether plane...we've all become a little less than human in the process. Poor Calintz, the boy has lossed his Will. Khorg has no true Joy nor will he ever again. My own brother, forced to where that arcane mask lest he lose the entirety of his Soul. Djinn, what little humanity he was gaining..." His voice trailed off, eyes darting around her fair face. "And even I, even with my arcana, was not safe from the Aether Mists...For without the arcana, I would be lost in a world of Silence." He brushed his fingers through her hair, how he'd missed the touch! "And of course...Vincent...He was the different one. For his eyes see the bare unforgiving truth. His mouth speaks all thought, heart rejects all. What seperates us from him?" Rikimaru pointed out to Tesshu and the few others leaving their presence. "As you can see, nothing. Our ailments are in our minds while Vincent must bear twofold, mentally and physically."

Dark shook her head sadly, trying to contain all of her hurt emotions and rage at the situation. Why had he left with them all in the first place? Was she not good enough for him? Were the children nothing to him? He had left the village and the family for hell itself. Wonderful. Fantastic. And now everyone hated her, including Aramil. She looked at the elf boy with sad eyes. "I thought you might feel that way. Fine. Do what you want. You were going to anyway..." She stopped herself before going into what the boy would have become if not for the accidental spell she had cast on him a while ago. That would be a bit too awkward. The sorceress turned back to Rikimaru. "I am afraid for all of them, Riki, and for you. How can you all keep living like this now?" Her face became downcast. "Will nothing be the same again?" Shaking slightly, she turned about. "Okay... we must get going. This has taken up too much time, and we have to get to that human village by nightfall. It is already past noon, so let us continue."
Shivelle and Naburine looked at each other, sensing that Dark was not feeling all that well, but they remained silent. The things that had happened recently made a distinct rift in the closeness of people. Hopefully all would be well by morning. Naburine was slightly worried about the elf kid's reactions... she had known him as Zephyr for only a week before he was converted back to his original self by Dark Beauty, and she was not looking forward to a magical one. She was also unhappy about Magus and his concieted way of leaving them all alone to wallow in his own emotions. Stupid male.

Riki nodded slowly. "In due time...we are not prmenantly stripped of our Virtues. We are to gather them once more, trading our new Virtues for the old. As for Vincent though...Heaven help him." Riki bowed his head solemnly. "I'll go with...but don't worry...I'll stay a bit off...I don't want to attract any more attention."

Perin took the lack of response to her question as a fine and fell back. She hoped to travel with the new arivals but they had moved off a bit and she didn't feel like tracking them. She had spent a little while in Hell herself actually. That was where she met her Teifling friend Valen. She had gotten herself out fairly quickly so she had not ahd to pay a large price.
Infact the experience had been quite rewarding for her. She to get out she had needed to find the Knower of Names. In time she had and, for a small fortune, had learned a few people's true names.

Dark nodded at her husband slowly. "Well, I hope that time will be soon. I don't know what Chyenne would do if she learned that Tesshu would not be able to be with her due to Vincent's new state." Straightening and setting her shoulders, Dark turned to Perin. "Go ahead and travel with whom you will. Be aware that I will be watching you, though." With that, she set the pace again, walking southwest toward the small human village that she had been talking about.
