Hmmmm... Raiku the Pirate, huh? Anyway, I saw the previews for it and wanted to see it so badly. I then saw it at Thistle's "aunt's" place, lying on the TV. I wanted to see it, but did not get the chance. Then I found out about its "R" rating and the plot... and how you root for a terrorist, because he is charming and why you love the movie. I despise movies like that... actually... I lied. You see, I love them. However, they are so twisted that I hate myself for loving them. Kind of like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, a movie which I love to death. But the entire movie, you're rooting for the bad guys. I hate myself for loving it. Therefore, if I saw that movie, I'd hate myself while adoring it. Not to mention that I absolutely will not go against my standards and watch an "R" rated movie.

I did not want to see V for Vendetta (sp) but my Dad saw it and said it was a good movie. So I watched it, and wow. Talk about getting into the mind set of human beings and showing the destruction of fear. It was very good. I will not argue with movies that teach true principles, as a matter in fact there are movies out there that have been rated "R" because they teach true principles. It's very interesting. Like last night, my parents went and saw that new movie with Will Feral (sp), that "Ballad of Ricky Bobby" thing. And they thought it was awful, they actually got mad at themselves for not walking out, but they told me how bad of movie it was. Though the rating is PG-13. And they told me it was the rudest movie they had ever seen. Even to the point of it not being funny at all. The honest truth is you can't trust the rating system. So you must be careful in your choosing of movies. And to tell the truth, there are very good movies that teach very important things. Such as honor, integrity, and respecting your elders. And the majority of these movies are rated "R". You cannot trust the rating system. Plain and simple. And John Bytheway even says that we cannot trust the rating system these days. ((He's so awesome!)) So don't just lable this as my opinion. (( For those of you who know who John Bytheway is. ))

Butch Cassidy and the sundance kid... That was a great movie. Very human, even through the comedy. I liked that one a whole lot. Particularly Sundance. He was just a simple sort of guy...
Frankly my brother thought the ballad of ricky bobby was one of the best movies he's seen. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm still looking to go. maybe when i can be sure i won't fall asleep inside the theatre. Painkillers make me all.. drowsy.

I look forward to that one being edited. As to the Ricky Bobby thing, I'll hang myself before I see it. I am so sick of all of those cheap B movies that are coming out lately. I hate lewd humor (you all know that, cuz I sometimes lash out at you for it), and I can't stand movies without a major plot.

You realize that by saying "cheap B movie" you're still saying the actual word right?

Nah, it's a teen movie. I want to see World Trade Center, however that will be one of those movies I must go to alone.
Speakin' of which, do you guys think it's a good idea to make a movie about Sept 11? I don't like the idea of them making money off of it, but I think we all need to be reminded. I for one got a true sense of unity after that day, we were all one, aiming at the same thing. That's a quite a powerful force...

Think it's a good idea for them to make movies about pearl harbor? Or, say, the civil war? I say, let them profit off of it if they want, a few coins in their purse doesn't change much. and if it's a good product, showing what happened that the news cameras couldn't capture, then it'll be worth it. History comes in more forms of media than ink and paper, and making a movie is expensive. If it isn't a sucess, you're talking about upwards of a good $80,ooo dollar deficit.
Tradgedies happen, but to silence them and pretend it never did isn't going to help.
Anyway, although it sounds like a good movie, and very patriotic, I usually go to the movies for entertainment and something fun to lift my spirits, so it's not going to be up there on my list of movies to shell out a good 6 bucks for.

I want to see it really bad. I think that it is wonderful that they are making a movie about it... and that they made one already. America is loosing its grip on just how serious it was. Some people don't even know what went on. There were heros made that day that are not recognized, and this is one way to give them the tribute they desearve. Also, it makes me sick how most of America simply does not want to know any more about it. Thist is something that we need to be educated about, and a good pull at the heartstrings makes people think.

Yeah, I have to agree with Dark. And another thing to think about is that this is something that has happened in our life time. One thing that most people forget or don't even think about is that those fire men that went into the towers knew that there was a possibility that they might not come back out. But still they ran in to save people, and they saved a lot of people. And a lot of them were still inside when the towers fell down. Often times people get caught up in the fantasy of what a hero is. Some one running around with a cape fighting for the greater good, using their amazing powers to fight evil.
But here are real people in our life time that were able to look beyond themselves, and in the end sacrifice themselves to save others. There is no fantasy about that. If that's not a hero I don't know what is.
And I think it's awesome that a movie was made in remembrance of those people.
I definitely plan on seeing it.
