Favorite Disney movie and why, must be at least a paragraph!
Mine is Beauty and the Beast, it always has been. I like it because it has fun music, bright colors, and characterization matching everyday household items. It also has a darker side, where the violins and low brass begin playing as belle enters the beasts lair. The opening song, as well as be our guest are my favourite two songs in the show, though gaston is a close third. (and no, my performance has nothing to do with my decision. I've always liked this movie.)

I have to say Alladin is my favorite Disney movie. Mostly because it's not exactly a rags to riches tale, but more of a story about a poor "street rat" that makes lots of friends in his adventure to woo the women he loves. (plus the wee monkey was awesome! and the genie...etc).

Alladin and Lion king are close seconds to me. I liked alladin also because of the wacky humor and Robin williams. Also because it was in a setting that i never would have known existed were it not for that movie.
Lion king i just love the plot and voice actors, and the music is great. Be prepared is probably my favorite song, among i just can't wait to be king. The voice actors for simba and Scar, as well as the scene in the beginning with the monkey's uncle made me chortle.

I can't really pick a single Disney movie to be my favorite.. It's kind of my favorite 'Genre'..
Hmm, but the ones I suppose I could note.. Mulan and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. These are not very popular ones, some people not even seeing the second, but I love them. Mulan is very powerful to me, I love the songs within it, and how can you not like comedy relief by Eddie Murphie? Secondly, Spirit is a VERY strong movie. It's about a horse in the wild as the western expansion of civilization happened throughout the Louisianna Purchase. They keep it realistic and don't allow him to talk, but he converses through expressions, actions, thoughts spoken (Though rarely) and, my favorite, Song. The singer for Spirit is SOOO strong, I love his voice and his lyrics, they just make me feel passionate.

I liked Mulan, it really added a military sense, but also a family honor thing to the whole Disney look. Several Disney movies are just inspirational movies made to make you believe that dreams come true.
I loved the Lion King play, so awesome... I loved the stampede scene.

That's one thing i like about disney movies. They take legends from all over and display them so everyone can learn about "a whole new world."
Alladin showed me the middle-east areas. Though I already knew africa and china, mulan and lion king showed me those different perspectives. Peter pan showed me all sorts of weird things, particularly pirates and barbarians. hehe...
The fox and the hound showed me my first glimpse of how betrayal really can be. Though i did like sword in the stone.. marlin was a badgery old coot...

A agree with Zephyr on Beauty and the Beast. That has always been my favorite Disney movie. When I learned that we were going to do it for a musical, I positively freaked out. I was soooo excited!!! By the way, Sorrows, the singer is Sting (for Spirit). Yes, he's an amazing singer. I grew up on his voice.
I actually really like the movie Sleeping Beauty. Merryweather makes me happy. And Maleficent is the greatest villan ever!!! I also can be heard singing those songs when I'm having a good day.

Although Spirit was a sort 'of good movies it was in fact not made by Disney but my DreamWorks.
To the next point to make, my favorite Disney movie would be none of the ones so previously created. I was never into the whole animated movie. There are a few out there that are not animated, but I don't like those either. I was always into the "made for older audiences" movies. One example that most of you may know is Phantom of the Opera. I wasn't made for young audiences. One person I know went to the play, coming back to me that the youngest person there was no younger than 30-40 years old. Plus, I absolutely love the music and love themes of The Phantom of the Opera".
