Shivelle looks down in surprise, then at the rope. She bites her lip slightly. "I'm going to hurt myself on that thing, I know it." She sighs, then moves to a less-populated side of the ship. "Stay away... I don't want anything to get out of hand." The vampiress looks away, closing her red eyes and concentrating. Internally, she felt the beast of the vampire-demon ripping in a rage of hunger at the spiritual cage that she kept it in. Unhappily, she relaxed the gate she had spent years to make, and she could feel the vampire-demon laugh in an evil way as it tore through the weakening bars. Finally, she felt it invelop her being, and she let out a scream as her soul took the characteristics that it had when she lived in the forest long ago. It was not a good feeling. Her red eyes flash, beginning to glow as she opens them. Black, leathery wings sprout from her back, and she cries out with an animal roar as it happens. With the demon taking over, the pain lasted only a small while, and she found herself actually liking the feeling. Im free.. She turned to gaze hungrily at the others aboard the ship. Within herself, the tame Shivelle faught to keep control as she felt her body move forward. The demon grimaced, her face becoming frightening and almost ugly as she finally managed to keep the starvation of blood from overpowering her wits. Growling, she turned reluctantly and jumped up onto the side of the ship. With one last look back, she jumped, letting her wings pick her up into the still air. She flew about for a few seconds, then started to spiral down to the sand below.

Pukk stared at her. "I wish I had wings," he said, "but the whole demon-thing doesn't sound too fun......" Turning to Magus he said in a sing-songy voice "Are we there yet?"

(*poof*)
He tightened his sash around his waist, double checking the scimitars placement. Keeping to himself, Raiku opened the door from the cabin and took in the sun. It took him a moment to register and adapt to the brightness and heat of the island, but only a moment. "Feels good to be back out in the world." He said, walking off the edge of the boat. Wincing as he hit the ground hard, Raiku continued to trodge.

Magus ignored Pukk's question, and hopped off the ship himself onto the land. "The red sky isles... Well.. here we are." The land was densly forested and tropical. Magus removed his cloak and put it away in a backpack.. that.. appeared suddenly. "Wear light clothing before we set off."

Shivelle had, luckily, muscled the demon within her back to its dormant style. Her face was a picture of absolute unhappiness. She looked down at herself at Magus' comment, then looked back up, agony still etched into the lines beneath her eyes. "I think I am good to go... does 'not enough' count as 'light,' or should I find something else to wear?" Even bantering with Magus did not change the look of hurt and unhappiness on her chisled face.

The comment made him smirk a bit, though when he turned to see her, it fell away back to the solemnnes he was so accusstomed to. Peering at her.. he could tell something was wrong.. releasing her inner demon was something that pained her... or was it something else? He looked at Pukk.. the boy was annoying, but had an insatiable spirit. He wondered what fueled him to travel with them. Likewise, the enigmatic Raiku joined them... another confusing figure, what about this expedition held that mystery's interest...?
He walked forward, each step leaving a faint bootprint in the orange sand as he moved toward the reddened jungles.

Her comment ignored, Shivelle shrank back slightly and sighed. She then turned to make sure the others were coming, and she then followed Magus at a safe distance. She had the feeling that he did not want to be disturbed.

Step by step, Raiku's boots picked up a bit more sand as he continued walking. He gazed at all of the trees, a unfamiliar sight for those upon a ship for so long. Though the land was never a favorite of Raiku's, he had to admit it was nice to have some solid ground beneath his feet. He threw aside the surge of pain in his lungs, the wave of weakness had him off guard, and he could not allow that. Especially around Magus, he knew that man would always hold a grudge. Not to mention Shivelle, though undead, she did have certain lively qualities, and qualities that could end life as well. To the others, it appeared as if he had simply winced, but to Raiku it was far more bothersome. Whatever the crew was doing, he hoped it would give him a way to come up with a solution.
He was dying.

Trees! Pukk saw trees; some with funny-colored fruit on them. "Hey Melody, come on! I'll race ya!" he called over his shoulder as he took off across the beach.

Melody hesitated at first but then decided that it would most likely put some distance between her and Magus so she ran after him.

"Careful, you two. We don't know what it is out there, and I am not gonna come in after you!" Shivelle shouted after the two child-like creatures.

"We'll need to head into the forest regardless, here is as good a place as any," Magus said with a sigh. "Though I wouldn't eat that fruit if I were you..." That's all Magus said, but the smirk on his face said he was hiding something. The trees were strange indeed, large and fat trunks, with foofy red palm-tree like leaves sprouting from the top. The whole island seemed to revolve around a "blood red" scheme, at least so far.

Shivelle looked around the island. Her gloomy mood was disappiating, and the interesting color scheme of the island made her smirk. "I like the colors..."

"It is a nice place." Raiku added, glancing back at the ship.

"I thought the colors might appeal to you..." One thing that's handy about a scythe. It's designed originally for cutting down plants.. so when they reached a place with overgrown foliage, magus' weapon was more than just a tool for battle.
