Annie felt slightly awkward, but at least Ace had mostly stopped shivering. She looked at Fletcher, smiling thankfully back at him for the blanket, and then said, "I think we need to give him a bit more time than that... I don't want his newfound energy to be wasted on trying to light a candle. Let him rest, okay?" She said it kindly; it was not a demand, but a suggestion.
Naburine looked slightly disappointed at Anton's comment, but her caramel eyes twinkled after a little bit of thought. She kept her mouth shut, though. He did not seem too interested in her... yet. That bothered her slightly. But he would warm up soon enough.

( oooh, REJECTION! )
Aramil took the time to look out the window, taking another look at the landing site outside. Things were going to change rapidly from here. As he peered around the area, looking at the upchurned earth and the landing craft, he noticed a blue and red dot moving closer. He bounded back to the main room, the little elf boy peering around to find Dark, only to notice she had left. The boy instead meandered toward Naburine, also looking to Raiku. "Uh, I think Magus and Shivelle are coming over here," he blurted out.
The blue-haired sorcerer walked with his scythe as a staff, his dark leather boots tramping over the displaced earth and stones, peering toward Shivelle occasionally. He hadn't the patience to wait until they arrived at his keep in order to parlay with the second party. Since it appeared that they arrived back, and the scent of cinders led toward the Tavern, he would meet with them there. He looked ruefully up at the sun above, lifting his indigo hood over his head and wrapping himself in the heavy cloak as much as he could.

Naburine looked up in surprise. "I thought that blue-haired explative of a vampire was leaving through that thing he's been worshipping the past few weeks?" She then looked back at Anton, and it was as if you could hear the click. "Oh."
Shivelle had also donned a cloak. It was black with red lining, just like her hair. She did not often come out during midday, and the sun was particuarly bright today.

((I will just bring them in now...))
Shivelle entered with her husband, taking gentle hold of her hood and letting it fall from her head. She ran a hand through her newly exposed glossy hair and looked at Anton's hand, not taking it, then turned her red-eyed glance to Magus. "I think he's referring to you."
Annie, feeling that Ace seemed to have stopped shivering finally, gently released herself from the warming hold she had on him in order to get up and cross the room to the two vampires. "Not too hostile, please," she muttered to Shivelle, who smirked in return to the comment.

'Great, he is here.' Thought Raiku, rolling his eyes. Though he was not sure what had led to the events so far, he was relatively convinced that Magus had a very large part to play. Whatever, he can dig his way out. Raiku had no reason to be here, they were not going to take him to the shuttle.
So he would just have to find it.
Without a word, Raiku disappeared.
Right at that moment, a mud covered Aegis peered through the window of the tavern. Magus and Shivelle were rather intimidating, and he thought it best to just...you know, hide for a few more minutes.

((moving the post))
Anton turned to the newcomer. After giving a sideways glance at Naburine's figure once she'd looked away. He was only human after all.
"Ah, so you're responsible for my presence here. I am Anton Creideiki." He said, holding out his hand.
"Your device has a dimensional signature like nothing I've ever seen, I'd like to take a look at it. I'd also like to discuss with you a way to return to my own time."
Anton didn't bat an eye at Raiku's disappearance. He was growing used to the strange ways of these people. Though he was glad that the assault craft was keyed to his genetic signature.

Magus, not being the friendly sort, did not shake Anton's hand; a predictable move. Magus and Raiku had a troubled relationship as well, it did not surprise him in the least to see Raiku exit immedietly. "So I am to understand that you will no longer interfere with the gate?" asked the cowled figure. He, like shivelle, lowered his hood, revealing a head of long, sky-blue hair, and a lean, pale face equipped with a set of amethyst eyes, perfect for leering judgementally at Anton. Perhaps Annie had been helpful after all. Whatever was negotiated up there seemed to have worked, he'd have to me less menacing to them sometime. Magus expertly masked a grin at that thought, glancing passingly at Annie. "We may speak more about the device itself when we are gathered there. You'll forgive me, but I'm rather eager to get things underway."
Aramil, who was still by the window, smiled eagerly, and looked out to the keep. When he did though, he yelped and fall backward, surprised to see a muddy face looking directly back at him!

Aegis likewise collapsed, searching rampantly for anywhere he could hide if Magus and Shivelle came out to eat him. Nope...no where. He just lay there upon the ground, waiting for the inevitable explosion of rage sure to find him.
Aegis's irrational fears were laid to rest when a blue dust-cloud hovered above him saying, "Oi, watcha doin' on the floor?" Aegis sighed, brushing his hand through the wisp giving him the clear message that now is not the time for barrel-rolls or general merriment.

Lowering his hand, Anton responded. "Very well. I must say I'm eager to see this gateway of yours. And your assumption that I'll not interfere is correct. So long as it poses no danger to this planet or my ship I'll let you do as you please."
Wonderful, he thought, now it sounds like you're declaring yourself king of all you see.
He glanced over at the commotion by the window. Had something knocked the boy over?

Seeing that Ace's condition was improving, Fletcher leaned back in his chair. He closed his eyes for a moment.
All the people in the room were growing considerably distracting, and the planeswalking he had done earlier had not helped his Schroedinger's Syndrome one bit. He'd been making progress on suppressing it, but now...he felt increasingly unsure of the actual state of things, a sure sign he was losing his grip.
A note of tired impatience crept into his voice as he addressed the vampire and her husband. "Glad you two could join us. You missed quite a lot. Now, can we move ahead and get this whole thing sorted out?"

Shivelle growled lightly. "Working on that. Patience is a virtue as well as a life-saving device around irritated vampires. I suggest you begin practicing it now."
Naburine chuckled lightly at the vampiress's comment. Sometimes she liked Shivelle. Sometimes.
Annie was surprised when Magus looked at her with nothing malicious or sarcastic hidden behind his eyes, but she shook it off when Aramil made a funny noise and fell on the floor. She walked over to him and helped him up. "What's the matter?" she asked quietly, not wishing to interrupt the more important conversation taking place on the other side of the room.

Vampires? Anton thought, I wonder if it's in the literal sense... though these folks don't look very undead to me. Besides, I didn't think vampires got PMS.
"Well, now that we're all here, why don't we head on over to The blue haired gentleman's secret laboratory and take a look at the gateway. Forgive me if I seem impatient but I haven't enjoyed the warmest of welcomes."

"Heh, and here I thought that the welcome was quite warm enough.." Ace laughed weakly at his own bad joke. His voice wasn't quivering anymore, which could obviously be taken for a good sign. Not to mention, his bad humor was back. He still sat wrapped in that giant comforter, but a weak grin was back on his face.

"Of course. Perhaps we'll keep some of the dead weight here this time," Magus remarked, peering over at the Unconscious Scheema, and Rubric. "I'm glad that all this nasty negotiation business is already seen to. My residence, as you may have guessed, is the gloomy castleacross the way," pointing out the door and toward the indeed hollywood-quality eerie castle, though it wasn't on a cliff and there was no nocturnal lightning or a sinister orchestra. "The way will be open for you, I'll make preparations," he remarked, delicately placing his gloved hand upon Shivelle's shoulder. This was not a place for hostilities, and things seemed to be running perfectly. "When you arrive I'll explain more about the construct, but it's useless to speak here. It will be easier when we are gathered there once more." He seemed to be handling this situation very well, uncharacteristically well for those who knew the mage.
The little elf boy turned to Annie, pointing at the window. "I saw something out there looking at me through the window!" he said, speaking a little louder than necessary. "It had great big eyes, and dark, crusty skin, and it made a terrible scream!"

Annie rolled her eyes. "Do you want to go and see what kind of banchee it is? You're always up for an adventure."
Shivelle remained silent, but her eyes became softer when she was not being told to rush any more, and to the touch of her husband's hand on her shoulder. She wanted to get all of this over with. The man was very human... and his blood's scent was decidedly and interestingly different than other humans she had sensed before. She had recently fed, so she was not too worried about losing control, but she was looking forward to being back in her comfort zone with no temptation about.
