The other day I was having a conversation with a friend of mine. He was talking about his girlfriend and how much she adored flowers. I don't understand. Flowers are pretty, (I fancy roses meself) however, if you think about it, they are just pretty weeds. There are thousands of them on the planet, almost identical. And yet for some reason, they are somewhat attractive. That is strange...I guess it goes to show you...no matter how small and insignificant you are. (being we are only a small part in this planet of millions of people, and we lack purpose) You are attractive and beautiful to someone.
Anyway post your uplifting rants here. They can be general. Or wrote solely for one person.

Wow that was deep and almost poetic. Almost. You know what I like? I like the feeling you get after a really thorough workout, where everything aches and burns and you feel like you can't life your arms. THAT is when you know you've done something good to your body. I'm a thorough believer in the philosophy "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." The next few days will hurt too if you've done it right, but it's a pain you can feel proud of.

Like I said in the poetry thread. I can't write poetry, I rant. Hehe, that is a form of poetry I suppose...
Very nice Zephyr. I want to quote Anchorman: "Oh, I can barely lift my right arm I did so many. I don't know if you heard did over a thousand." Funny movie, stupid and lacks any real purpose, but funny nonetheless.

Heh, Thanatos, you have 666 posts.
I loved the Anchorman movie. Not because it was funny or anything, but it was the first movie I saw with my Love.
An uplifting rant? Hmm...
You know who I love besides my girlfriend? Me. That's right, and I admit it. Many people find my arrogance and Pwnage to be a weakness, yet so many people don't believe in themselves. Why not? Because they focus on all of their failures. Well, be more like me, dang it! Believe in yourself and you will accomplish great things! You can not believe in others if you can't believe in yourself. You can't help others if you can't first help yourself. It all starts with you.
The lesson of this rant: Be more like me!
There. That was uplifting.

In answer to the first post:
Flowers are significant. They are symbolic. Some represent love, others represent dignity, and some even represent despair. Some flowers are capable of living through harsh weather. Others whither and die. Be the flower that stands through the winter. You'll be cold, you'll be hungry, and you'll be miserable, but you will be stronger than the others. You will live to see another day. Others will look up to you. Don't give in to the winter... that will only make it more harsh. Some flowers have thorns and dark petals. Beautiful... but painful. The flowers on thorn bushes can turn to berries, but it can hurt to reach those sweet things. The berries become addicting... the nectar of the flower binds. You will be hurt and scarred for life as you keep reaching for the substance that you hold dear. The rose is gorgeous... sweet-smelling... beautious. But it hurts. It kills. Be aware of those flowers. Do not try to hold on to them. Throw them away, or clip the thorns. These flowers are deceptive. Look out for them. Some flowers have bright petals and are sunny inside. Be those flowers. Wear a bright smile, and let your inner sunshine filter through it. Bring joy and happiness to other people. Be kind, merciful and caring. Let your light so shine before man, that they may see your good works and glorify your creator. Be like the sunflowers. Reach for the sun. Follow it throughout. Or, evern better, follow The Son. The light is there forever. Bask in it. Then reflect it.

I like the part about Roses personally. It's true, they will kill you, often times they won't even realize it, or care for that matter.
Modify! ---------------------------------------------
Bah, they do care!!

I was walking home today...the wind seemed to attack my face, every step I took it got a little more ferocious. But, I couldn't just turn back. I had to get home. So, I walked. I tripped, took all the pain. I didn't fight back, how can you fight wind?! It seemed to force me back wards, making my journey all the more difficult. The clouds above resembled nothing but pain and suffering, but I still persevered. I could have avoided it, but I don't want the easy route. It's no fun. Besides...after all, though the wind blows and slashes at your face...it's just wind.
I wanted to make this into a poem, but...well. I'm not the best poet. Rhyming is most certainly not my thing. But, I like the way it turned out.

But you know it's possible to handle a rose without getting hurt... And I don't think I would label a rose as evil... It's just well guarded. And if you what to "pick it" like you would most flowers, you would think twice because the thorns.
Deceptive no. Defensive very.
The thing you have to admire about the rose is that it's letting it's "light" shine, but it's not going to let it's guard down, and let you kill it. And if a rose was deceptive it's thorns wouldn't be so visual, they would be extremely small and unnoticeable, waiting for you to try and grab it, and then hurt you. But it doesn't do that, it's thorns are right there plainly for you to see, and if you don't notice the boundary and you cross it, that's not the roses fault is it? It's just defending itself, and after you grab it and get hurt, the boundary is then made clear and you will remember not to cross that boundary.
The Rose is a defensive flower... Not evil, if you get hurt by it, It's your own "over eager" desire to pick the plant's fault. lol.

Hm, here's a rant.
I'll have you know, contrary to belief, dead people make for some incredibly agreeable company. Not talkative, as a rule, but very good listeners and possessing a very relaxed outlook on life...or whatever. And finding the killer to a dead body in trhe park wouldn't let the body be anyless dead, which is why I normally prepare a picnic and try to start a conversation. Just because corpses are dead, doesn't mean they don't have feelings.
