Okay, I suppose it is my turn to talk about something good.
One person's small actions can change the lives of millions. You are important and you mean so much. You have a soul and a heart, and there is a reason you are on the earth. Some may not know why... some may. It matters not. Who you are and what you become depend on your own choices. Doesn't that make you important? You are not under some other person's hand to be manipulated in thier own game... you move on your own. If your moves are good, then the people around you might just move to your own wants and needs. You can make your spirit shine. Do so.

Well said Dark. Even though at times people may not believe it, it's true. We are the masters of our destiny. (( Love the new pics by the way Dark. ))

Humanity is to endlessly stupid to be masters of our own destiny. Though that doesn't mean that we won't try and deny that.
It is our past that makes us who we are and what we let influence us. There are some things in our control, and many others that are not. Just another 'perk' of being human.

Our past does not make us who we are, it is an influence to who we are, and who we will be. It all depends on your choices like Dark said. It all depends on how you deal with your past.
You'd be surprised how much one person can influence something. It changes the whole equation of what will happen, as well as the outcome of something.

Free will, Hellboy. We have it for a reason. Our existence is probably just a game, a sick test...but I will not let other people control my destiny. It is my life, I go with it how I will. And though I know "God" has a plan, I believe that only certain points in my life are in his schedule. The places between these points are completly up to me. Here's a good quote that sort of fits in with this: "He is what his life has made him." "I see through that, I see a better man." "I cannot fight who I am!" "Yes you can!" We have the ability to change. Perhaps, if your life isn't what you want it to be...then got off your lazy behind and do something about it. Don't grovel, we CAN change our lives, almost instantly. Change is...a state of mind. If something in my life goes wrong, I fix it. I fight for change.

Destiny is a figment. There is no such thing. There is only what has been and what is now. There is no future set in stone, no certainties, no guarantees. There is only what happens. Your choices lead you to where you are and influence the immediate around you, perhaps, but to what degree is beyond your control. And, in the scope of things, we really are insignificant. Even if you change the world, what is the earth but a spec in an empty void? You can change life, but you cannot change existance. It is your actions who shape who you are and your influence on the people and world around you. Whether it be for bad or good, you do effect life with every breath, every undertaking. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Energy cannot be lost, only transfered, this goes for thought too. You influence. No matter what you do.

Good, write a book about your life and publish it showing that I'm not an uplifting person. It wasn't meant to lift anyone's spirits up, but rather comment on what was before it. Thank you though, I appreciate the comment.
Thanatos, in the future I hope you are more mindful and hold your tongue when you feel the need to call me "Hellboy." It might have fortunate consequences for me.

That's all well and good, and I enjoy the snide remarks and rude comments from you, however the point of the thread is not another idiotic philosophical argument thread. Frankly I've had it with how we always seem to throw threads into some needless psychological debate about how WE think the universe works.
This thread is meant to RAISE ones moods by telling funny, inspiring, or happy stories, true or not. Talking about the inevitibilities of life, and our helplessness to find our own way in this world does not fall under any of those categories. I dont want any argument or rebuttal in response to this post, if you have anything to say to me about my statement here please feel free to private message me. I simply ask that we move on, and someone else posts something uplifting.

Well, not exactly to go against your wishes and comment about your post, I would like to point out that the manner in which you commented on Shadow's post was unnecessarily rude. You, also, could have PMed him, but chose not to. Not saying that two wrongs make anything resembling a right, but I don't think that it's very fair to bite and get mad for being bitten back, calling it 'needless' when your's was too.
After that, I'd like to point out that my foot is feeling better! Though, that may be more uplifting to some than others, or not at all, but it's certainly uplifting for me, because I can walk again! Slowly, but surely! ^_~ Looks like I'll be up for that dance next Saturday, after all!

+laughs+ Funny.
Glad to hear the foot is feeling better. Perhaps I won't have to carry everything for you, get you a Pepsi, or any of the other things that you made me do because of that ankle.
