Bio: It's the Middle Ages and she's a girl, so no schooling for her. She knows little about the outside world and is fairly superstitious. The daughter of a not-too-successful carpenter, they keep chickens on the side and somehow manage to scrape by. Both her parents are still alive, but they couldn't afford to support any more children, so she's the only one.

This is my character for the new thread that will be comming up on the 20th of January, if everyhing goes well. If any of you have played Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark. This is is my character from there except I modified it so she is more believable and not an unbeatable character.

Personality Personality: She is not very nice and she isnt fazed by much. There are only a select number (2) people who she cares about Strengths: Cant really be threatened. Talk her way out of pretty much anything. Skilled liar. Weakness: Deekin Likes: Magical items, adventuring, eavesdropping, people who suck up to her Dislikes: beating around the bush, people telling her what to do, doing things without any pay

Bio: Perin grew up in a normal invironment but was struck with wanderlust in her late teens and spent time training as a rogue. Eventually she raised to the status of assassin and has become quite skilled. She is what you call heartless or evil. Not chaotically evil and trying to rule the world but the evil that could care less if you needed her help or some innocent was dying at her feet. Infact if that were t happen she would probably bend down and start taking anything of value. Over the course of her journeying she met Deekin and after awhile he became her first "friend". She ended up saving his life actually. It was worth it though because she got a literal dragon's horde.
For quite awhile Perin and Deekin thought he was a Kobald but it turns out he's a red dragon. For the thread they will still think he is a kobald...for a little bit.
Over time they ended up helping out the people because of the promise of 100,000 gold peices for thier efforts (which they never recieved). This ended up getting them inbetween two factions of drow. On one side was the wacked Valsharess and the others were the rebels led by a Seer. She helped the rebels with the assistance of Deekin and her second "friend" Valen. He's pretty much an alien/demon but they call themselves 'Outsiders'. Now she is wandering around with Deekin.
Anything Else: Perin has two tatoos that curve from her forehead/brow to her ears and then out to her cheeks

Bio: One of the biggest mysteries of the land, where did Fado come from? A good question, not even he knows. According to the continents census, he has no family. No mother, no father... Most prefer to stay away from him out of misinterpretted information, he is certainly not a dangerous person. For a reason unknown, Fado spends most of his time floating around in a "middle-dimension". Only leaving it when he is needed, some say that he is the conscript of Fate itself. So if he is there, there is a bigger purpose for it than expected.

Bio: Born in 'The Waste', a desert nearly devoid of water, he grew up in a much different society than most. His people are a race of warriors very heavily beliefed in Honor and Obligation. He grew up learning the spear from a boy's age, so much that it is a part of him. His people will not even touch a sword, since it is a wetlander's weapon. His people hold a great disdain for the wetlanders. Centuries ago, his people gave a branch of the Tree of Life to the wetlanders, as a sign of peace; something never offered before. Years later, the wetlander king chopped down the tree that had grown and made himself a throne. The Aiel, outraged, invaded the wetlands, raged across the world without equal, until they had destroyed the king and all of his kingdom completely. Then they left. It was called the 'Aiel War' to history, but, to them, it was only justice being given to an 'oathbreaker' and a 'treekiller'. This is where his people's hatred of wetlanders comes from.
Anything Else: His clothing are always browns and grays that easily fade into rock and dirt. A black veil hangs around his neck, only donned when his is ready to kill. He carries three short spears with blades as long as the shaft, which can be used as javelins as well as polearms, and a small steel buckler. He also has a shortbow and quiver that he carries around, strong enough to pick a rabbit at 80 yards.

Name: Rubric Starbuckle Race: Gnome Age: Early Adulthood, perhaps 40 or so. Appearance: He appears to be a scruffy beard with glasses, a nose put on a kid's body though further investigation allows people to discover he actually does have a skull. He's got ruddy skin, and a tough build, despite his lack of exersize. Turning those bolts gets tough. He's about 4 feet tall. Personality: He's a gnome, tough, intelligent, but not too bright when it comes to common sense. He's very kind, always wanting people to get along, ad trying to make friends.. mainly because friends will forgive him if his experiments fail, but also because he can always use input here and there. Weaknesses: Well.. his inventions have a habit of failing alot before they succeed, and some never do. He's a little addled, and gets frustrated with Schema sometimes. Strengths: Resilience and a "never give up" attitude. He's very optimistic, one has to be when you fail at everything forty times before you get a positive result. He will often state his lucky number is 7,552.
Family: After the incident with the trogg invasion back at home, his family either fled the city, or were turned into freaky mutants due to the radiation they poured in to try and destory the troggs. He doesn't seem bothered much, because hsi best friend back in his homeland is hard at work developing a cure.
Name: Schema Brasscrank Race: Goblin Age: Young Adulthood
Appearance: Where as Rubric is very orderly, with tools all over for convenience, and useful clothing such as coveralls and gloves, Schema is very grungy and relaxed, wearing an old red tanktop and a black skirt, buth tattered and singed here and there. On her feet are large boots with buckles on them, and bulbous toe-ends. Unlike Rubric, hers aren't platformed. She has tattoos here and there, though they're often tough to distinguish with all the oil usually found on her (almost always a splotch on her nose). She usually has a match in her mouth, and wraps wicks around her wrists like bracers. Her tool belt consists of dynamite. Despite her grungy look, she does wear lipstick, even if she does a crappy job applying it, and has lovely yellow eyes, often hidden behind protective goggles (visor style, not the two-lens style).
Family: Well.. Her mother's side is still around, running an alchemy business down in ratchet. Unfortunatly she took after her late father and studied engineering, specifically Goblin engineering. Suffice to say, her father discovered a catalyst that enabled explosives to become twice as potent. It was his last contribution to the engingeering world.

Personality Personality: Easygoing and easy on the eyes. He enjoys gambling and dancing with women. He's the type to always have a smile ready for a pretty face, and a laugh for a good joke. Strengths: Quick-witted and sharp. Due to some circumstances, he ended up with memories of other men's past lives ingraved in his own. Mostly generals and people with high rankning positions. He also has insane amounts of luck when it comes to random things like dice and cards. Weakness: He always had a weakness for women, which got him into trouble as much as it got him out of it. Bio: Born in a small farming town, he grew up a farmer boy who loved practical jokes. Events led him away from his simple life and found him tied to things he never even dreamed of. Now he has the memories of dead men in his head, shadowspawn out to kill him, and the whole bloody world to call on him. He wanted no business being a hero, but his luck always wound him up with soldiers to command and battles to be won.
Anything Else: The blade of his spear if wrought with Magic, so it cannot break, will never need to be sharpened, and can cut through just about anything. He has a silver foxhead medallion about a loop on his neck which protects him from magic, absorbing any that is used around him. The black scarf he keeps about his neck in public hides a scar from when he was hanged.

It shouldn't be too much of a worry. Mat's the type to toss coin for a pair of pretty eyes or a warm smile, maybe a dance or two with the occassional snuggle with a barmaid who enjoys his company, but he's not one to get tied down or commited. He never gets himself in so deep that he can't leave, but always just enough to where they're sad to see him go.

Seems forever since I have had a new charrie to write about. Even in my English classes I have been writing about the same charries repeatedly. Well, this one has come from WoW...leave me be. I have an imagination and shall use it accordingly. ^-^
Aka's backstory is one filled with mystery to those who do not know her. She seems strong and always proper, but, to those who can sense it, she is often reminded of a far deeper pain. The markings along her face seem to be constant reminders of the many tears she shed. Still, the people who she talks with on a daily basis know nothing of this inner pain. There is but one that learned of her true story at an early age.
Raiku met Aka when she was barely a teen. At that time she was beginning to see the makings of the path she had chosen; the true life of a druid. He came to her as a friend, but soon became a little more, perhaps. No one really knows for sure, but the thought was always there. A majority of her life had been in the presence of plants and trees, so this new friendship was something that stunned her. Raiku's kindness kept her around (why does this sentence sound odd?), and Akana's teachings of nature taught Raiku to soothe his anger, if only a bit. Both fed off of one another and became a strong force.
Her politeness often gets the better of poor Aka, and thus she calls no one by there first name without the title of Sir or Lady. Only close friends she tells her complete past to, and then they must still gain her trust even more before she calls them by their first name alone. This does not, however, mean that she cares for only those close few, but means that her loyalty to them is unbreaking. To her, anyone in need of help will receive a kind hand in return, no matter their age, but they must get used to her polite and quiet demeanor.
If you would like to know more about Lady Akana Shiroi, ask her yourself. Get to know her and ask her of her past. She would be kind enough to tell any, and befriend them just the same. Please allow her to assist in your time of need.

Basics Name: Chalyrr is her real name ("Earth Protector"), but she goes by the name Adeline in the upper world. Race: They have no name. They are nymphlike drows, I guess you could say. However, they have never been seen before, and therefore have never had the need of a name. The race is native to the Jagt. Age: Unknown. She was born when the earth was. Birthdate: They celebrate her birth with every new year.
Personality Personality: Because she has never been above the earth's surface before this time of crisis, she is very wary and keeps information to herself, often being very cynical (which is a way to find out more about people she is with). However, in reality, she is very kind and funloving. When she begins to trust the others, it will become evident. Strengths: She is proficient in self-control. She is the strongest of her race and the eldest. She is bonded to the earth, and therefore can ask of it basically anything. Her race practically is the elements; they cannot control them, but they are overly sensitive to them. Weakness: She is new to the outside world and does not know too much about the other creatures. Also, she has never been outside the Jagt, so she does not know the workings of magic. Likes: Nature, funloving people, and learning. Dislikes: Selfishness in any form, war, and littering.

She has lived in peace under the ground in the only place where nature is all-powerful and cannot be altered: the Jagt. Now that the earth is in danger of being torn apart and destroyed by war, she has decided to do something about it.

Name: Goes by Aurochs Age: 42 Height: 6'9" Weight: 295lbs, all muscle. Physical Description: Like the beast of greek legend, Aurochs is huge, and stronger than a team of oxen. He has a full beard of coarse, light-brown hair and dark blue eyes. His skin is ruddy and weathered, appearing as if the most white-skinned man on earth went tanning. His body is framed with light leather armor, and he carries several small weapons, a medium-wized axe, and a hammer that's as large as he is.
Personality: Aurochs does not speak often unless necessary. He's always the type that does what is needed, regardless of morality or law. He's not a monster, not evil, he's human, just like everyone else (so to speak). Unless the answer requires some strategy and thinking, he'll generally use the straightforward approach to problem solving, such as bashing down a door and charging in.
Strengths: Stength and Vitality unparallelled. Weaknesses: He is not, by any means, fast or agile, and he rarely gains to speak. Likes: Meat, cold weather, hunting, and getting to smash things for a good reason. Dislikes: Nievety, people who classify everything, heat, and traitors.
Family: He had a wife, and has a son still, but his whereabouts are unknown.

Name: Jaryd Rigel Age: 43 (aging slowed, appears to be mid-twenties) Description: Tan-skinned from countless days under the sun, Jaryd is high-cheek boned with a goatee and close cropped hair that is jsut starting to go gray (the only sign of his true age) Because he is out and about along roads and constantly on the move, he is muscular, though thin. Unlike many mages, Jaryd sports no cloak, just standard traveling clothes. Unless you were a magic user yourself, you'd never know he was a mage. hieght : 6' 3" Race: Human Occupation: Force Mage, specialty: kinetics Inventory: Very little. He carries a small knife, some matches, and a bag of metal bolts, similar to crossbow bolts. Special Abilities: As a kinetic mage, Jaryd can tap into his magic and move objects. At full strength, he can move something as large as a ship up to 300 yards. Of course, a feat this great will tire him greatly. He would have to sleep deeply for several days to recover his strength. Each time he moves something, it tires him. The more control required, the more tiring it is, so merely flinging a rock at high speed is easier than floating it away slowly. Jaryd can also fly, after a fashion. While his abilities don't work on himself and he cannot "fling" himself, he can ride on an obect that he is "flinging" and travel rather quickly. He flings the object, with himself tied to it, into the air, then while in the air, flings again, then, just before he lands, he decelerates the object he is riding (which can be as small as a bucket) and lands gently. Defensively, as a forcemage, Jaryd can absord limited amounts of magic and deflect magically projectiles by altering their flightpaths. Jaryd's nearly unblockable attacks (projectiles moving far too fast to be seen, much less blocked, come at a price. Kinetic Forcemages are incapable of creating magical barriers or conjuring anything. They are rooted so deeply in earth magic that they must deal almost entirely with the realm of the physical. As a result of his tie to the earth magics (he was trained by an earth mage), Jaryd ages at a slowed rate, about half that of normal. He also has a basic sense of his surroundings without the need for his eyes. This sense extends around him for about ten feet. Weapons: Bag of metal bolts. He uses his magic to fling these at an extremely high speed at his antagonist(s). His magic in itself can turn just about anything into a weapon. Including his enemies. Bio: Born to nomadic parents, not much is known about Jaryd's early years by others. As a boy, a hermit earth mage found him sending rocks through his wndows. The mage was about to scold Jaryd when he noticed the the boy hadn't touched a single rock, and had sensed the magic in him. He was taken in and trained, with the full support of his parents, who later disappeared in the woods. Rather bitter about the loss of his parents, Jaryd, having completed his training, became a roving bandit of sorts. Never killing innocent victims, he would use his power to either knock out travelers and steal their valuables, or to cause said valuables to fly mysteriously away. As kinetic mages are rare, the people usually assume that their belongings are possessed. Now, at the age of 43, Jaryd is a fairly wealthy man. He occasionally will rob other robbers (he hates competition) or spends his time shredding foliage with rocks, sicks, and the occasional bird. An explanation of Jaryd's magic:Forcemages are different from your average magic user. They're less of the spell casting type and more like specialists. Extreme specialists. For instance a Gravitic Forcemage would deal with only gravity, making things heavy, light, focusing gravity, canceling gravity. As a result of this extreme specialization, they are extremely powerful in their field, but Forcemages can't do other magic. They couldn't cast a single spell to save their lives. As these types of mages are extremely rare, Usually they will apprentice with a more common type of mage, giving their magic a flavor or connection with whatever school they were taught in. As Jaryd was raised by an Earth mage, he feels connected to the earth magics and the realm of the physical. Thus his magic connected with kinetic energy. Forcemages always connect with something from the realm of science, but Kinetic Forcemages are extremely rare, more common types are Sonic, Light, and Thermal Forcemages. (Yes Light Forcemages can make lasers, ok? ) Jaryd has the amazing ability to provide, remove, transfer or redirect the kinetic energy that an object has. He can either provide the energy directly from his own body or he can steal kinetic energy from another object, such as a falling boulder, and put all of the energy form that object into another instantly. Jaryd can even tap into the kinetic energy of the planet itself, thoguh the huge amount of effort and concentration required to perform such a feat would leave him exhausted and helpless once he disconnected from the planet. In order to be able to move an object, or rather to be able to add kinetic enery to an object, that object must either be in Jared's sight within 75 ft, or within his 10 ft radius of kintesense, wherein he can "feel" everything around him as if it were pressed against him, yet he gets a detailed picture in his head of his surroundings. This sense is why Jaryd does not relish the idea of physical contact with other people. He's already aware of every detail about them (physically) but touching them brings them sharply into focus. Every single inch stands out like a neon sign, which makes Jaryd feel both overwhelmed and somewhat dirty, as if he'd invaded their privacy by knowing so much about them. Jaryd's magic is not unlimited, the larger an object is, the more tiring it is to move it. Ironically, the faster it must be thrown, or the more harshly, the easier it is. For Jaryd, it would be easier to rip a jail cell door off its hinges than to float the key into the lock of the door, though neither course of action is beyond his abilities. Though Forcemages are unable to use conventional spells, that does not mean that they are dead to magic. They are extremely powerful magically and can sense magic in others. Just because he can't shoot fire out his fingers or call down lightning from the sky doesn't mean he wouldn't be a formidable foe. More than one mage has suffered embarrassment or injury due to their ignorance of the validity of a Forcemages. Often Forcemages are seen as freaks by other magic users, but usually only in the largest cities, where people tend to be educated about such things. (And for some reason Forcemages crop up the most outside of large cities)
