*Laughs* I had to remind Silent about the hobo part. Now she gets it.

Sorry I'm stupid. It was only a ten second part in that movie. But now that I remember I laugh.

Ya see, stuff like that? That's why J.J. Abrams is my hero.

Just saw the movie last night. I really liked it. Finally america has it's own signature giant movie monster. Our own Kaiju. Take that fraudzilla! At any rate, i liked the movie, even though it didn't have much of a story arc. I liked the fact that there was no scientist in a white labcoat explaining the monster and it's origins. I also like the fact that the statue of liberty was scaled to size.
And the ending was good.

There WAS no ending! Even though it's destined to die, there is potential for a really fun modern day thread. Who's in?

www.1-18-08.com/Ok, so this is the official site. Basically the director guy is in talks with Paramount for a sequel. Though, they talked about abandoning the film style. But meh, that kind of makes it less cool. Anyway, the site I posted has pictures you might want to check out if you're a Cloverfield buff like me. If I were to guess from these pictures, after the end of the movie the monster decided to retreat to the ocean. It lost a lot of itself in the blast, so it left behind the equivalent of some extremities, arm, leg...stuff like that. It kept going, hence the blood in the ocean, and the boats and fighter jets took it out. Or maybe it managed to escape despite all the explody-death-projectiles. They released some viral pictures for Cloverfield 2, I'll try and find a working link. Anyway, that was my geeky rant. Cloverfield to me is like what Trek is to Detrevni.
