This is for those of us graduating this year from high school, which would be a majority of the memebers on this board.
Discuss/rant here. It's a fun way to vent the frustration. I'm not gonna start it... but I will show you something I am rather proud of...
So, for the presentation that I knew nothing about until just a bit ago and am presenting on Tuesday, I decided to utilize my skills with compies to create a power point. One of the slides is about what I have learned about life while enrolled at MPHS, which is followed by a slide about what I have learned while enrolled at EvCC.
I will show it to you in reverse order.
The EvCC slide reads:
The MPHS slide says this:
And then it shows a lovely picture I created:
The rest of my presentation is professional. I promised someone that I'd do it. So I did.

- My career pathway (for certain)
- Responsibility comes with every privilege
-“You Can’t Shirk the Work” - Excuses are childish
-Live up to your expectations
-Learn from your mistakes; don’t blame them on others - Sometimes you have to give up the good for the better
-And sometimes the better for the best - No one will make choices for you later in life
-You can make it or break it
- Nobody will coddle you with political correctness or pity - Grow up. Be an adult.
The MPHS slide says this:
- Communications should always be kept at optimum levels.
- Promises must be kept, or else everyone’s unhappy
- Math is important ((At one point I had a subtext of "Marysville schools should actually teach it"... but I changed it...))
- 9.8m/s2 = the gravitational constant of the Earth ((Changed from "speed" thanks to the resident nerd))
And then it shows a lovely picture I created:
The rest of my presentation is professional. I promised someone that I'd do it. So I did.
