The tavern was buzzing noisily as it usually did, patrons, drifters, and all sorts of people passed in and out. It was a good day for business, so much so that Zephyr decided to give himself the day off from the Emporium, which was why he currently sat at the bar of the tavern, flirting with one traveller's daughter. The roguish elf smiled his charming way, asking how long she had been on the road and where she was destined. She giggled and replied, and they made idle banter. It was at this moment that the tavern door opened again, a small-framed girl stepping through. Of course, seeing as the tavern had been getting an unseemly amount of business today, the person walking through the door went seemingly unnoticed. She had strawberry blonde hair that was bound in a neat pony tail, and striking emerald green eyes. She appeared rather young to be travelling out along the road on her own. Were someone to look at her, they would likely assume she was fourteen years old or so, though she was indeed much older than that. It was clear she was an elf, as evidenced by her finely pointed ears.
As the travelling merchant picked his daughter away from Zephyr, the charismatic thief happened to glance at the doorway for only a split second, but that was all he needed. He immediatly lost all color in his face and began making his way to the back kitchens, hoping Dark or any of the others running the Good Times Tavern wouldn't notice.

Dark did notice, but she did not give much notice to it. Zephyr was a strange one. Instead, she shrugged and walked over to her fellow elf, smiling warmly. "Hello, traveller. My name is Astheriel... but please call me Dark. What can I get for you?"
Chyenne watched the small elf boy creep into the kitchens. Like any dryad, her instinct was that of curious inquiry, therefore she followed him.

Melody looked up as Zephyr walked into the kitchen and smiled shyly liked she always did. "'Ello Zep-er what brings you here?"

(( not sure if you're using Boy in context to YOUR character's age Dark.. hehe.. But just so ya know, this is the older version of Zephyr, not Aramil. Aramil's no flirt.. yet.))
Zephyr smiled, though he cast a nervous glance back at the door closing behind his back, his tail instinctivly slipping out of the door's path. "Maybe it was to see you," he replied with a smile. "Busy day isn't it? Would you like a hand back here, what with all these customers, i bet you and the others are running their tails off... so to speak."
The girl looked up at Dark searchingly for a moment, trying to think of what to say. She was about a head shorter than the elf woman. "I'm sorry, I'm looking for someone..." she said vaguely, peering about the room. Apparantly the one she was looking for was not here, judging by the look of dissappointment on her face.

((Well, I cannot very well call him "little man" can I? Yes, he's a boy in view of Dark's age.))
Dark was not a fool. Zephyr's disappearance was definately part of this. Politely, she asked for whom the girl was looking for.

The girl sighed, obviously very dissappointed. "..I'm looking for my father," she replied.

Dark choked back a gasp. She hoped this was not what she thought it was. She silently prayed to her elvish god that it was not. "And what is your father's name? I think that I can find him if I know who he is."

Rondell, who happend to be sitting by the fireplace sipping tea and looking like someone actually important, adjusted his monocle that spontaniously existed. "Now, why would you be looking for your dad in a tavern?" Rondell must have accidentally done a small trick as his monocle suddenly became tinted pink and green.

"His name is Aramil," she replied, a hint of hope in her voice. This woman, Dark, seemed to know something that she didn't. Maybe she could help, thought the red and gold haired girl. As for the peculiarly clothed noble in the arm chair, she didn't pay much heed to him. Her mother had warned her about men like him.

Dark's face blanches slightly but quickly recovers and forces a smile. "Ah... Aramil. Yes, he is a regular customer. Excuse me for a minute, will you my dear? I think I saw him here today. I will return shortly... Chyenne!" The little dryad girl that had been summoned came away from the kitchen door and to her role-model. "Will you keep this lovely young woman's company? I need to go and fetch something unpleasant." Chyenne nods as Dark walks toward the kitchen in the most casual walk she could muster. Now, anyone who has ever been unfortunate enough to see Dark Beauty angry and lived would tell you that it was the most terrorising thing to live through, and that they would rather face a dragon than Dark again. Zephyr was in for one heck of a ride. Dark came through the door, her usually deep eyes blazing with an inhuman fire, and yet steely and unmoving. Her face was set like a finely-chisled stone, and her slender hands were balled into fists. Her usually musical voice was icy as she stalked her prey. "Oh Zephyr... you are well aware that there is someone here that wishes to see you. I believe you should go and see what she wants. It's only polite." Without waiting for him to move on his own accord, Dark's eyes flash and there is a surge of power in the room. Zephyr begins to move mechanically toward the door... slowly. It looked as if there was some unseen force pushing him... and it looked painful. His clothes were slightly indented on his shoulders by his neck, as if unseen hands were gripping him with a powerful hold. "And we must be polite, musn't we?"

Zephyr wouldn't quite be able to help Melody with those carrots after all.
"Dark please!" Zephyr shouted, unable to resist the spell's potency. He made his way through the door into the crowd, though not by his own will.
Meanwhile the girl smiled to Chyenne, asking about rooms or food while Dark retrieved whatever unpleasantry she had left to seek. When the elf burst out of the door, she immediatly turned to face him. For some reason, his entrance didn't surprise her...

"Dark, please..." Dark maliciously mimicked the "unpleasantry," her mouth in a terrible sneer... only until she strode out of the kitchen doors after the struggling Zephyr. "Look who I happened upon while I was looking for that unmentionable thing. This is who you are looking for, is it not? Look at how polite he is... he came immediately out without so much as a tiny struggle."
Chyenne saw it... the glint in her friend's eyes. The dryad had answered all the new girl's questions with patience and interest... but now she found some lame excuse to vacate the premisis, making sure to whisper a wish of life to Zephyr on her sudden exit.

The populace of the room seemed to quiet down.. or maybe Zephyr was imagining things. He could only stare at her, his eyes locked to her solely, though he was unsure whether it was his own guilt or Dark's spell. "..Ciephana,"
She too seemed to only stare at him for a while. Now that they were both in one room it was easier to see the resemblance between the two, they had the same eyes, though her hair was reddish blonde and wavy, while Zephyr's was golden and straight. She slowly strode toward him, a good head shorter than the rogue. She looked into his eyes, which dimmed with shame. A smile broke across her face, and she embraced her father lovingly. "Found you..."
Zephyr was speechless, he expected her to strike him, or to shout at him. The hug took him aback, but soon enough he recovered, a warm smile spreading over him.

Dark's eyes did not soften. This was disgusting. Utterly shameful. Who did Zephyr think he was? This child... Zephyr did not deserve to be treated this way by the daughter he must've abandoned. Yet she held her peace. Though peace is not the right word.
