Glancing over to the side, he saw Kris. In his eyes were tears and on his cheeks were stains of fallen tears. Arching his brow slightly, he shook his head, looked over the crowd again, and then began walking down the hallway, in the opposite direction in which he had come from.

A boy stood amongst the crowd, watching with a cold stare. He was near the front, having been walking the halls around the corner when the sound had first pierced the morning. He watched the girl holding and crying over her deceased friend. He knew them, to the extent that he had seen them but never had the courage to talk to them. He was a new transfer from out of state and had no friends. The scene was all too familiar to ones from his previous life and as much as it hurt to remember, his soul tearing apart, he simply looked with blank, dry eyes. He had no emotion, but the pain inside was all too real.

Kris walked next to Michael, and again looked at the scene in front of them. He said without removing his sight from Annie, with tears still escaping his eyes, "Who...who could have done this?" He said clenching his fists. He figured Michael would not know, but he wanted to ask. The hope that he may know something, gave him a small dose of comfort. He was reletively surprised that the security had not taken the body away. Kris once again wiped his tears off with the cloth of his sweatshirt, he sniffed due to the cloggy nose he now had from crying so much...

Garret frankly knew her only as an aquaintance.. a friend of a friend sort of thing, so he wasn't too horribly shattered, but he still wanted to hurt whoever had the cowardice to do it. Maybe he was trying to bring justce.. maybe he was just looking for an excuse to fight. Regardless, after everything was cleared away and the medics, police, and other state personnel arrived everything was being forced back into schedule. There would probably be an assembly tomorrow... Garret felt like missing that one. He knew what they would say.. Terrible tradgedy.. should never happen again.. give condolences.. etc. Pre-funeral bullcrap.
He shoved his hands in his pockets, scowling, and headed to wherever the bells took him.

Stopping at Kris' question, he closed his eyes and gave a cold shrug. "What does it matter? Destiny has been written by a forceful pen, and because of the bloody ink that was spilled, someone has lost their life. It has been done," Michael said as he sighed and then looked back up the hallway, "Forget, but never forgive." With that, Michael started walking towards his next class, as if nothing had ever happened. It were as if the very air had become colder at his words. He often had that effect.

The boy fell to his knees as the crowd dispersed. It seemed all too unreal. Like a dream where at any moment he should wake up in a fright in his own sheets and blankets. But it would not come, no matter how he willed it. How could such chaos exist in the world. What right did life have to be so cruel and unforgiving? There could be no sense made, or reason given for the atrocities that Fate dealt. He felt drained. He did not even personally know the girl nor her friend, but as he kneeled, watching them, he felt the pain she must have had one thousand times over again. He often found himself this way, Empathic, cursed and blessed with the feelings of those around him. He fell to his hands, breathing heavy as he felt his strength sapped. He still was emotionless on his face, only a brow rose quizzically to himself. What was this that made him feel this way? Why should he have to deal with other's pains and problems. It wasn't fair! His fists clenched against the concrete ground.

Kris continued watching Annie, "right. Forget...never forgive." Kris was amazed that Michael always seemed to have the perfect words for any situation. Kris debated if he should help Annie to her next clss, but this girl... She must have a been a really close friend. He decided it would be best if he just left her alone. He walked towards his class, again wiping the tears off his face.

Annie watched as her friend's body was taken away. She could not move. She could not think.
The killer was still running. There was a gun in the killer's hand, and fire in his eyes. He needed more... one was not enough. There! Anlone... a small girl. He did not think, he just shot.

Marble jumped at the sound of another gunshot. He turned an ran toward the sound. When he got there the killer had already moved on then he laid eyes on the victim. He felt as if his heart just shattered. Lying there on the ground was his little sister. He just stood there pale face, mouth open in a silent scream of horror.

Michael heard the next gunshot, before it even rang out in the halls. He knew another was to come. Despite the loud bang that echoed through out the hallways and school, Michael was unphased. He simply didn't care. Everyone rushed past him in a blur, yet he was the one mountain that could not be moved. People just ricocheted off of him like water on stone. Despite his lack of care, he was getting rather annoyed with the disruptions of his day, and because of it, his annoyance grew and he began wandering, seeking out this coward who wielded the gun.

Kris turned away from the classroom door with another look of horror. The gunshot came from nearby, and Kris wanted revenge for the deaths that day. "Argh! Get back here you coward!!" He yelled as he ran through the crowd of people, he caught glimpse of Garret, "You coming?!" He yelled. Kris didnt even wait for an answer but continued to run. As he ran, he caught glimpse of the gunman. "Why?!" He yelled. The figure turned around, and pointed the gun at Kris. As he pulled the trigger, Kris leapt to the left. He could not change fate however. The bullet tore into his shoulder. Kris fell to the ground screaming in agony. He hit the ground, blood gushing though the wound. The bullet was thouroly lodged into his bone, which was probably broken. He would not die from this, unless he bled too much. He tore off the sleeve of his already tattered sweatshirt, and wrapped it around the wound. And allowed unconciuosness to consume him...

Not more than a few moments later, Michael appeared next to Kris who was unconcious on the floor. He literally appeared. It was scary. Though the even scarier part was that Michael just stood, looming over the unconcious body of Kris. His friends would be by any time soon to pick him up, more than likely, and he felt no remorse. When hunting, never make yourself become the prey. Turning his head in the direction of the shooter, he began walking, but with a look of an emotionless state.

As the crowd dispersed from the original scene, the boy found himself alone, on the ground, where he had passed out of time and thought, and only the other girl, the victim of the friend, crying nearby. He rose shaking to his feet, his strength still sapped. He walked over towards the girl and stopped short by a foot or two. He didn't know her personally.. How could he talk to her? What was there to be said. He just extended a hand out toward her, as if to reach for someone falling, and his mouth stood agape, as if he were to scream, but only a look of sheer terror on his face. It was now all too real, the blood stained to the ground next to her. He felt anger, sadness, remorse, guilt, terror, and so much more of the hateful feelings released from Pandora's Box. He tried to suppress these.. basic, primal reactions. He could not lose his rationality... He would not be that.. monster, again..

Annie took the stranger's hand, then she heard the two other shots. She did not hesitate before running off again. As she tore through the hall, the intercom went off. "All students fo to homeroom immediately. This is a lock-down. This is NOT a drill!" She ignored it.
((Hey... just to let you know, the killer is MY character... please don't God-mod with him))

(( *cough kris cough*))
Garret also ignored the alarm, that was for people who cared. He wanted to find the shooter and be the big hero for beating the living daylights out of him.
Unfortunatly a teacher that knew his record quite well spotted him sneaking down a hallway. With a quick pincer-grab to the ear Garret was subdued and shouting off cusses left and right. The wild spirit was pulled ear-first into the room of the teacher, along with the class that had him for homeroom. "You're staying here for the duration of the Lockdown, now sit against the wall!" said the instructor aggressivly, frustrated with the boy's thick-headedness.
Garret grumbled and sat down against the wall along with the other students, glaring at his criss-crossed arms. The students whom he sat by scooched a bit away from Garret.
