Tonight I watched the movie "Gandhi." I've always wanted to know more about this man, to kow not just his tactics when it came to general violence, but what he actually did and accomplished, and how it came about. There are pacifists in this world, but what did he do to become so spectacular. This movie really helped me come a bit closer to understanding it, I think that I might have to privately study this man's life. Has anyone else seen it? I highly recommend it, although I wrn you, it's quite long. Not that movie length is an issue for those of us who frequently carry out Lord of the Rings marathons.

I had to watch it in my history class last year. I admit that it's a pretty good movie, and yes, it is long, but it's very interesting as well.

definitly a good movie. There's alot of powerful scenes in there. My favorite is when Gandhi tells the hindu national extremist that to repent for murdering a muslim child he should raise an orphaned muslim child as his son, yet raise him not as a hindu but a muslim.

Yep. There's really some good quotes in there too. In fact, one of them I have on my e-mail signature.
