Hrm.. Well I need a place to randomly start writing for no reason, and I generally don't like to open word just for something no one else will see, wasting my time.. So I'd prefer to waste my time and get comments and critiques.
I'll post some writing here occasionaly, whether it's relative to the last post i make or not... I may go off and write several short stories about nothing in particular.
first, let me scrounge around, see if i cant find something to use as a filler until I get hit with a creative burst...
Ah here we go. This was a story I was writing for Lords of Legends, involving my guild members. There's Bogu, the leader, Ghecko, his paladin chum, and I can't remember what CPS stood for.. I wrote it five years or so ago.
oh, and ignore the indentation, i can't use it at all on this forum. It always shifts left.
The sunrise was bright red, both beautiful and startling. The cool crisp morning air held a certain tinge to it. Something was about to happen. The birds did not chirp, not a single animal to be seen, none but the elf.
He walked with a weary stride this morning. The elf’s blonde hair brushed the collar of his brown leather jerkin, worn from years of travel. His emerald green eyes reflected the sunrise, a crimson red beacon.
For a moment he stopped, slinging his pack to the dew-covered grass. The elf sighed and rubbed the back of his head trying to keep himself awake.
“dancing daffodills it’s cold,” he said under his breath, a puff of white smoke coming from his mouth as he spoke. Casually he brushed his hair behind his pointed ears and picked up the pack, ready to continue. He was still quite a ways from the CPS headquarters.
Almost reluctantly he continued on his way, the further he headed northward the colder it became.
A stalwart paladin stood in the hallway of the CPS headquarters. He glanced at the door with slight annoyance, and then out the window to see the rising sun. The man let out a sigh and leaned back against the wall.
“He’s late,” he muttered to himself.
Another human in full plate armor strode up tough an archway in the hall.
“Bogu, you seem agitated. What’s the matter, waiting for the sun to set already?” The man joked as he walked over to the leaning paladin.
“I am waiting for our scout to arrive. He’s late,” Bogu replied trying to lighten up.
“Well we can’t always control the world to suit our needs. I can’t say I’m not surprised, its so cold outside I’d half expect the air to freeze over,” The other paladin said with a smile.
“Zephyr’s always late, despite the weather Ghecko.” Bogu said closing his eyes.
“What’s so important anyway? He’s not bringing any women with him is he?”
Bogu sighed and stood up straight. He walked into the cloister of the fortress and into his chambers.
Zephyr finally made his way to the CPS headquarters. The elf sighed in relief and walked up to the door. He kicked it a couple of times, making a loud banging sound, which echoed within the stone castle.
Ghecko opened the doorway. “Don’t most people knock?” he asked grinning.
“Most people’s hands aren’t frozen.” Zephyr said shivering.
“Mine are as well, but you don’t see me breaking holes in the doors.”
“ But you’ve got gauntlets on. Besides, with those greaves Bogu would have a fit if you kicked any door.” Zephyr joked.
Ghecko sighed at the roguish elf smilingly.
“Come on in. Though inside this stone freezer isn’t much warmer than outside.” Ghecko said allowing Zephyr inside.
