Aramil couldn't help but entertain himself at the squishy bench. He was light enough that it bounced quite well. When the waiter came around, he was a little lost, and looked to the menus that were passed around. Then he turned it upside down... then on its side, and glanced to the others for help.
"Perhaps you should order," Magus said with a nod to Annie, passing her the menu the waiter passed to him, knowing full well he couldn't read it. "But I want a Soda," a grin flashed across his face for a moment.

Tion glanced at the menu before putting it down. "I'll have what you have, dear."
Naome scanned over the pictures of desserts greedily. "I want one of everything! They all look so interesting. I bet they taste delicious. Tion, which do you think looks the best?"
Her twin shrugged without looking at them. "You'll get fat if you eat them all. Pick one, you glutton."
Naome glared at him and pushed the menu aside. "Whatever. I want apples."

Annie smiled. This maybe would be easier than she thought. She'd just get food and have everyone simply eat what they wanted to. When the waiter came back, she ordered a couple Shepherds Pies, some hamburgers (because even though they were in an English-styled pub, they were still in America), fresh veggies, and charboiled chicken breast. For drinks, she just ordered water. That made Dark slightly nervous because everyone knew that water wasn't for drinking - you might get terribly sick. But Annie assured her that it was okay, and Dark had no reason not to trust the pink-haired girl. She also asked if they had any apples. The waiter looked surprised, but he said they did, so Annie sweetly asked for three whole apples, and he couldn't refuse.
"Righ' then. I'll get awl that for yew soon," the waiter smiled. He looked at the array of interesting people and asked, "Is there some kind of midieval to-do going awn?"
Annie smiled kindly and said, "Yes, but it's a couple cities away. We're on our way there."
He nodded. "Well, thank yew fo' stopping here. The food will ownly be a little while - yew got here at a business-lag. ...Yew sure yew don't want to go owt to the terrace?"
Annie nodded. "Oh, yes. We're perfectly fine in here." Truth be told, she loved the terrace, but she didn't want the twins doing anything stupid - like climbing on the walls and vines.
"Okay, then." He walked away, taking the menus with him.
Annie relaxed and looked at the others. "I hope you find something you like. This is going to cost me something awful."
((Yes, I did research. Unfortunately, I didn't see the rooms until AFTER I'd sat you down in the cushy benches. In reality, everything is regular chairs. But hey. It's cool.))

Tion sweetly leaned in and kissed Annie on the cheek. "I'm sure we will love it. If you are low on money we could go pick up a few of those plastic things for you. It's no trouble...Unless only certain people have them. Then you would have to point them out to us, inconspicuously of course."
Naome looked around the room suddenly feeling bored. There were not as many interesting things inside as there were outside. She looked at Aramil bouncing and idly fancied the idea of stealthily slipping under the table and dragging under as well, just to see if he'd scream. She glanced at Annie and decided against that course of action as the pink haired woman would probably have a fit. Her eyes then landed on Magus...and stayed there. I wonder how long it will take before he get irritated...

Magus, looking perhaps a bit gloomier than usual, scanned the place with very mild curiousity. Apart fromthe boothes and the lighting, this place wasn't much more advanced than the Good Times Tavern... Although those monitors were a distinct change. His gaze eventually found Naome's, at first showing a passive interest in why she was staring at her. When she continued, he locked his gaze with hers... He's very good at glowering. So, the staring contest between the two most unlikely individuals began...
Aramil stopped bouncing when he began getting looks from the others, and simply kicked his feet idly."This place is kind of like home isn't it..? " he commented, looking about the tavern with a smile. "Why did he speak so strangely..? He didn't sound like the other people around here..." the boy asked, looking to Annie.

"This is a big world, Aramil. He's from a country, or at least acts like he's from a country, that is different than this one. They speak the same language, but they sound different. You'll hear a lot of different accents. I am sure they hear you all differently as well. I mean, I'm speaking English and you understand me, but now I think you know where my accent comes from. Dark says you're all still speaking in common tongue -" she looked to Dark, who nodded, before she continued "-but even though I speak that language, I'm hearing you all as if you're speaking English as well. You have a hint of an accent. It's a strange one. He'd probably mention it if you spoke to him."

The waiter returned with the waters, and Aramil began poking the ice with a finger. "Are you gonna see your parents..?" he asked, continuing to prod the transparent little cube absently.
Magus continued his locked gaze with Naome.

Naome's eyes started to water and she knew she was going to lose. And she was fine with that for the most part. Only a slight twinge of irritation came up at the thought of losing so she decided to change games and see if she could get a reation out of Magus. Shock would be great, rage could be fun. I dont think I've ever heard him really laugh. Hmm so many to choose from... Sitting up she leaned across the table towards him and put on a nice, sweet smile. "Magus, You're my best friend."

Her quickly approaching face caused the mage to recoil, leaning back into the squshy chair suddenly. He gave Naome a confused and surprised expression, and, having no idea what to say, just let his mouth hang agape and blinked at her. Aramil, however, burst into laughter at the boggling mage's expense.

Tion chocked slightly on his water and watched his twin suspiciously.
Naome giggled and mumbled a 'success' under her breath. "Yup. You are! And as my best friend we should stick with each other for the whole trip don't you think? We could go shopping together, go site-seeing, cause mayhem and panic. It will be so much fun!"

Dark chuckled under her breath. She wished there were some way to show Shivelle her other half's face when they got back home...
Naburine burst into uproarous laughter.
Annie rolled her eyes with a smile and turned to Aramil. "My parents are dead to me, kiddo. I've not talked to them since I was about ten-years-old."

Neither Aramil nor Magus knew how to reply to these statements, but for the first time, Magus looked more confused than the elf boy. Luckily for the two of them, their conversations were interrupted by a small trolley full of plates and food, pushed by that strange-sounding waiter. Magus looked a little relieved, perhaps Naome would forget all about this once she'd distracted herself with stuffing her face.

Luckily for Magus, the arrival of the food did indeed deter Naome for the moment. It all looked so new and smelled delicious. She didnt know what to try. After a moments hesitation she flashed the waiter a quick smile and snatched up a hamburger. She eyed it closely to see if there was some special way you were supposed to eat it. After a few moments she decided she would wait until someone else tried to eat one and grabbed an apple instead.
Tion glanced about the feast and decided to take a little of everything to try, ignoring Naome's comment on who was the glutton now. When he had finished piling up the plate he started to dig in. He looked up in surprise and smiled as he took his first bite of sheperd's pie. "Wow, this is better than I thought it would be!"
