Okay. This is interesting. I love history; I do. In my studies, I found something very interesting. Don't cheat! Don't do research! This is a very unique quiz. See how many you get right. It's short... a little history lesson. If you don't know the answer make your best guess. Post your answers, and then when we have a few up here, I will post the actual answers later.
Take your best guess at which political figure made these statements:
1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
A. Karl Marx B. Adolph Hitler C. Joseph Stalin D. None of the above
2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few...... And to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."
A. Lenin B. Mussolini C. Idi Amin D. None of the Above
3) "(We) ...can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."
A. Nikita Khrushev B. Josef Goebbels C. Boris Yeltsin D. None of the above
4) "We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own ... in order to create this common ground."
A. Mao Tse Dung B. Hugo Chavez C. Kim Jong Il D. None of the above
5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed." A. Karl Marx B. Lenin C. Molotov D. None of the above
6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched."
A. Pinochet B. Milosevic C. Saddam Hussein D. None of the above

I only know a few of those names. My history classes were never in depth and interesting sadly enough.

Mostly I just guessed, no real logic behind it because i didn't know the answer, so I decided to do it randomly. I'm not too big on history, just lore.

"INTERESTING?" I'm paranoid. This is rediculous. People don't seem to care that our country is falling to ruin, and many of the people running will finally get us there if they are elected.
And then there is the fact that many voters either DON'T vote, or they simply don't care and vote for whoever they randomly think should be the president. They don't listen to actual debates, and if they do, they don't analyze it.
The run may be "interesting." The election will be frightening.

*double nod* Anyway we turn, it's going to be a long way to go until we regain our former glory. I'm with the USA till the end. YouTube debates get the most out of the candidates. You see more than the things they say, you see who they are. I want someone you will lead us in the right direction. We are kinda in a tight spot right now, and don't need anymore enemies. Iran, Iraq, North Korea (though our relationship with them is strengthening slightly) Cuba, not to mention the border situation. With so many enemies and our walls breaking...It's not an equation I favor to much.
I want someone with viewpoints that are strong and are out for the people, not for themselves.
Guess we'll see. I'm just getting sick of people getting angry over the current economic situation and blaming it on President Bush. Granted, he hasn't made the best decisions on all things, but the economy takes at LEAST 4 years to change. It's been slowly getting better, but the first few years were Clinton's fault. And we want ANOTHER one? Nah...
