"Ah. With whose scrolls, may I ask?"

"Err..." He stuttered, holding a hand behind his back, which secretivly made a "mage hand" spell to push the scrollcase out of sight beneath a plank of shattered wood. "Scrolls? No.. I was.. working on my sorcery. Just working on my offensive spells way out where where i couldn't hurt anyone. Did you like that one? It was 'Minute meteors,' by Melf the Magi." a quick smile and a gaze that searched for her approval covered the little lie nicely.

Dark raised an eyebrow at the young man, then looked to Chyenne, who was pasty white and refusing to say anything to the contrary. Dark sighed. "You know, you would not get in so much trouble all the time if you told the truth every once in a while." She walked over to the crater and looked at it, one hand on her hip and one up to her face as she thought about the situation. "You know, you've made quite an impressive mess of things."

He sighed and sat down on the freshly moved earth. "I was just trying to improve.. Don't worry, it wasn't a house anyone was living in. I conjured it up just before the second spell.. according to the s... the.. spell.. it should go away in 24 hours, so there won't be any cleanup.. just a big hole." he tried to make the situation seem less dire. No one got hurt, he didn't see what the big problem was... "Maybe it'll fill up with water and we'll have another pond."

"Nearly right in front of the Tavern? Yeah, that will go over well." Dark turned to the elf-boy, her hands moving to her hips. "I don't suppose that 'house' was a cottage of any kind was it? A small one that seemed to get bigger when you entered it?" She caught the blanch (if becoming more pale was possible) on Chyenne's face, and she turned to the dryad. "You know, for Aramil's sake, you should probably go inside."
Chyenne nodded hastily and ran for the tavern, flashing Aramil a look of both "I'm sorry" and "You scared me nigh to death" before disappering into it.

Aramil watched Cheyenne go, and waited before she was out of sight. "Yeah.. It was a secure shelter spell, but no one was hurt, I kept Cheyenne from being hit, so what's the big deal?" Aramil asked, kind of annoyed that he was losing this confrontation already.

"The big deal, Kiddo, is that you lied to me when you could have just told me the truth." She held out one of her hands, not to help him up, but to collect. "Give me my scrolls back, please. If you want to use them, all you have to do is ask. That shelter is for big trips... now it has been blown to smithereens. That scroll is only a gateway for the cottage; it is not something that comes back every time you mutter the spell."

"Oh.. I.. I didn't know that.. " Aramil replied faintly, staring at the dirt beneath his hands. That WAS a big deal... "..." he waved his right hand, and the ivory case snaked its way out from underneath a board, and floated sadly towards Dark. ".. Sorry."

Dark caught the case and held it, looking at the young man for a moment in silence. She loved watching children learn lessons, but it still made her slightly upset to see him like that. She let a gentle smile form on her mouth before holding out her other hand for him to grab. "It's okay, Aramil. I can build another one... sometime... or maybe I should just let you build one with my son? That sounds fair considering the situation, doesn't it?" Her hand was still outstretched, waiting for the young elf to accept her help up.

"Sure, I've built loads of houses before," he replied as he took her hand, a smile returning to his face slowly. He stood up, almost eye-level with her these days. Then again he was always short for his age. "I didn't mean to summon the meteors you know... I was trying to decipher the scroll. I thought it was a 'Master's Feast,' not 'Melf's Minute Meteors'..." he said with a defeated sigh. "Draconic's so hard to read.."

Dark nodded. "It is. That's why you should ask my help before playing with it." She playfully tussled his dirty blonde hair. "Now then, kiddo, is there anything else that you need to tell me, or are you wanting to practice more... with a mentor at your side?"

He grinned, shaking his head as her hand left it to shuffle it back into it's proper mess."No.. I only cast those two so far.. Maybe I should just stick to Sorcery, it's much easier," he remarked passingly. He looked up at the sky for a moment, when a blue-jay passed by... "Say... Do you know a spell to fly?" he asked, not turning to look toward her, just up at the sky with an ambitious look in his emerald green eyes.

Dark's blue eyes took on a wary look. "I do, but I don't know if that would be the best thing to teach you right now. We would not want to have you accidently flying into falling meteors, would we?"

"Please? Pwetty Pweeeeeeeez?" Aramil begged, turning and giving dark an adorably overacted face of hopeful longing. His eyes shimmered and reflected in the deep green shining pupils, and he bit his lower lip just enough and not too much, and he clasped his hands together, interlocking his fingers and resting them under his chin. He breathed in and held his breath, waiting for her response...

"Nooooo. Absolutely nooooooooott." Dark imitated the young man in voice and look only until she finished her sentence. "However, maybe I will teach you when I think you can handle it responsibly."
