"It ees how my people have eaten it for generations." Melody responded as she cut it up and put it on plates. "Zere is no harm in it. We have lived on it for a long time and nozing has happened to us."

Shivelle looks at Magus questioningly. "You lived in a windy place? All of this is new to me, seeing as I lived in a dark wood most of my life."

"I lived in a cold place, but there were occasional strong winds, yes. I'll have to tell you about it some time," Magus said with a nod toward Shivelle. He withdrew into the cabin without any form of scowl. There wasn't quite a smile on his face, but he wasn't frowning anymore. Moving to the map, he marked off where the ship changed directions, then moved down to the lower decks. "Everyone may want to select where they sleep, there are hammocks strewn about in various places..." he announced to whoever was listening.
(( soon we will flash forward to the Red Sky Isles, no worries.))

Shivelle glanced over at the young mage when he made his announcement. Sleep? Oh, yeah. She had forgotten about that. She would have to sleep on this rocky thing that she had just gotten used to. Oddly enough, she did not really note her nervousness when Magus was talking to her... but when he had left, she found herself clenching the railing with a death grip.

"Hammocks? Great!" Pukk grabbed one and scurried back up the rigging. He managed to tack it to the crow's nest in a very precarious position. "Hey, can I sleep up here?" he hollered.

*flash forward* It had been a relativly easy trip, and the passengers had become used to the ship's rocking at night, and the waves crashing against it's hardened timbers. They each found ways to amuse themselves or eachother, Magus even threw in a colorful illusion spell of a jolly band of fiddlers and flute players "to keep them out of his way."
As the weeks passed however, everyone began noticing a strange white mist that floated inches above the waves, every now and then dispersing as the waves rose and crashed against the ship. The water was no longer visible, as if it were covered by a sheet of snow. The temperature seemed to rise and the humidity clung closely to the skin of each of the party members. The confines of the deck became muggy, but at least it provided shade for those who weren't on deck.
Finally one morning, the sun rose, a bright crimson red hue, making all the white mist below seem tinted as a lovely shade of rose. Puck would have noticed a land mass, or rather many small land masses ahead. The red Sky isles.

Shivelle stood at the side of the ship, looking to the horizon. Her red eyes were filled with a look of such relief that it was almost comical. She had become uneasy when she could not see the water... or things in front of her. Now, surrounded by the "pink" mists, she could make out the unmistakable shadows of islands.

"Whoop! Land!" Pukk crowed. "D'you think it'll still be this hot when we get to those islands?" he asked, wiping his brow, "It's been stifling for days now."

Shivelle sighs. "I don't care how the weather is. I just want to get off of this rocking thing."

"It's not the heat, it's the humidity," Magus chimed in, grinning. "The isles are very densely forested... So you'll have shade, but it will likely still be muggy," Explained the blue-haired mage as he began preparing things here and there for their arrival. He sure did seem, i suppose eager is the best word, to get to the land, even more so than Shivelle. "The ruins we find, I hope, will be of some interest..." He said while casting spells left and right.

Melody was looking at Shivelle in amusement from the corner of her eye. Always complaining she thought I mean she chose to come.
Closing her eyes she held up her arms and streched. "I zink it ees perfect."

Ever the master of sneakyingness, Pukk ghosted over the rigging, dropped upside-down over Melody, and started tickling her in the middle of her stretch.

Shivelle shrugged. "If a muggy, nasty forest means getting off of this ship thing, then I will take my chances, thank you. I am interested in the ruins..."

Melody let out a screech and latched onto Shivelle trembling and crying. "M-m-monster!"

Wincing, Magus lost his spell and concentration, nearly blasting himself in the face with misdirected arcane energy. He shot a deathglare at Melody, temporarily set into a rage before gaining his composure. He closed his eyes, clenched his teeth, and took a deep breath. Again he put his hands in the air, and began chanting, directing the mainsails toward the land.
(( We're gonna park the ship like they did in PotC2 when they got onto that voodoo island.))
