"Time and time again, I am sent. What is the point? To teach the foolish? Perhaps there will be a shining pearl amidst the mirky depths of the ocean..."
Foot steps sounded through out the entry hallway. It was obvious that whoever was walking, was wearing metallic style boots. Indeed the walker was; a pair of steel-toe boots is what he wore. Stopping at the front desk, he merely grinned to the lady at the front, as they had grown to know one another every year. She was always annoyed by his pride and his tardiness.
"I'm reporting in, just thought you might like to know. If not, then I have a hotel room with yours and my name all over it..."
A grin escaped his lips, but before she could turn to slap him accordingly, he was gone. This thing always happened between them in the beginning of the year. Already at the top of the stairs, he opened the door and looked inwards. Taking note of those who were there, he grinned and took his seat next to Minate Borne. He didn't make any noise as to suggest a friendliness, as he was often alone. He had the few friends amongst the staff of the school, and intended to keep it that way. Though amongst the students, he was known well as a bad-ass, prideful, boastful, and overall kick-butt teacher. Though he was always bragging about how good he was, he was the kind of guy who could always back his words up.
This was the teacher who mastered the Element of Wind. This was, Damien Darklight. He wore a black cloth-like jacket, black jeans, grey tank-top, and a top hat upon his head. He was of daemonic origin, and had a life span greater than most mortal creatures. His skin was all black, and the only thing that stood out amongst his dark features, were his shimmering blue eyes. His eyes were hypnotic.

The door opens yet again as an Elven teacher storms in, her curulean eyes piercing everything that she glared at. Her shoulder-length black hair floated along behind her due to the long, outraged strides that she took, and the two silver streaks from her brow glowed in her anger. The students cowered in sheer terror. Dark Beauty was hardly ever angry, but when she was, she was extrememly scary. The elf's white robes billowed ominously with every step, and her angelic face was now chisled into anger unfathomable. The beautiful woman stops before the desk and simply glares at Minate Borne. When she finally speaks, her voice is cold and dripping with thick sarcasm.
"I am upset. Could you tell?" Not waiting for an answer, she lays her hands on the desk and leans toward him. "There is a new fire mage in this tower that is unable to control her power. Somehow she managed to get to my office and burn it all to.... a place that should not be named. Who, may I ask, was responsible for the care of the new students?"

Kimmy came skipping into the classroom with a big smile on her face. "Look I'm really sorry I didnt mean to it just happened." The young fire mage looked like she was trying not to laugh. "But I did get my cocoa hot. It was rather good."

Minate glanced up casually, not shocked by her overbearing presence. He talks calmly, slowly drawing out his words. "Now, now, Dark. Kids will be kids, and that will is what new recruits and Acolytes are.. kids.." As he drawled out his sentences, Kire's chair slowly lifted about half an inch off the ground, just out of her vision. It slowly began to move towards the door. "And an office is easily repaired, objects are easily restored.." He stands up and rounds the desk opposite of the floating boy, keepiung her eyes locked on him. He strode around the Kimmy and pulled her towards the chairs where the other boy sat. "And I shall deal with her accordingly.. Fire Wielders do tend to be a little bit more.. dangerous than most.. You can rest assured, she will not get off lightly with me." He sat the child down, winking at her as he turned back towards the enraged High. "Now, would you care to stay for the Prowess Testing? I might even use your help."

Damien merely snickered. A grin crossed his lips as he turned the rim of his top hat down to cover his bright eyes. He took note of what was going on, but not by choice, as the wind whispered everything to him. The wind was his element; his friend and ally.
"If it makes you feel better Dark, your room neeeded a bit of a change..." Damien said as he turned his head to look at the new fire Mage, Kimmy, "I congratulate you. You did what I've wanted to for a long time now." Damien walked into a trap, but he loved doing his worst, none the less.

Dark's eyes flash as she turns to Damien. "Just because you are a wind-loving imbicile does not mean you can make fun of tidy offices." Almost flippantly, she stops Kire's chair from moving and turns to the boy. "I am guessing this is him. Congratulations. You are cleaning it. Get."

Minate sighs and with apologetic eyes, shooes the boy with a wave of his hand. "I should hope you organize well. From what I hear, Dark Beauty is.." He glances sidelong at the enraged teacher and smiles. "Selective.."

Damien bit down on his tongue, and kept his comment to himself, but let the wind in the room fluxuate with intensity for a few miliseconds. It wasn't nice to hack off a wielder of wind, let alone a daemon, but Dark was stronger then Damien, but it hadn't stopped him in the past. This time though, he kept quiet and smirked.
"So..." Damien said as he leaned back in his chair, "When shall we begin the torture?-... I mean, testing?"

Minate glanced over at High Darklight and grinned disarmingly. "Now, now, Damien, I should admit that the test will be.. different.. but it will only be torturous if they cannot meet the challenge.." He smirked at the two students sitting down, winking at them in a friendly manner. "But I do not see anyone yet incapable of handling anything here.." He motioned to the random assortment of objects on the table, an array of the most peculiar things, that even the other Highs would not recognize.

Kimmy sent Damion a curious glance before returning her gaze to Dark. "I can to control my powers by the way. Just watch!" The red haired mage hopped off her seat and pushed up the slightly too long sleeves.
Kimmy closed her eyes and held her hands a few inches infront of her face. Then as she muttered the incantation under her breath her hands rapidly formed the symbols. "Uzack!" She yelled and looked around. "Hmm I must have forgotten something..."

Dark shouts in surprise and outrage as her soft boots fill with water.

Kimmy lookes at the elf mage/sorceress in confusion and then her eyes widen. "Oh dear my skitzo gene ((eh sp?)) must have kicked in again." She thought of something to distract Dark so that she would be able to make an escape.
"Can birds drool?" The fire mage finally blurted out.
((If anyone can tell me..that'd be nice It popped into my head in 5th period and Now I'm curious.))

"Two points for Kimmy..." Damien laughed as he looked over to Dark and grinned, "I'm liking her already. That's not easy, as you know..." Again, Damien laughed to himself as he rocked back and forth in his chair, slowly.

Dark nearly jumps down the throat of both Kimmy and Damien, but manages to keep her temper with so much effort that she nearly burst. ((Now there's an interesting notion....)) She mutters a single word, and her boots dry. She glares at Kimmy. "Birds cannot drool. That is why their saliva is so rare in the world of the mages. Now you'd better leave before I tear your head off."

"Right!" Kimmy turned and ran out of the room as fast as she could. From down the hall you could faintly hear her give a delighted cry of: "Oh look a butterfly!"
