The mans eyes turned directly to look into the eyes of Magus. Somehow, he knew that he was being looked at, and in return he did the same. They say that looking into the eyes of a being was like looking into their very soul. If that were true, than this newcomer that just walked through the tavern door, had a soul quite unlike any other. His eyes were piercing even to the heart of a person. He just had that strength about him. The eyesbrows of the man narrowed slightly as the 'wandering' sense about him left, and now there stood a man of integrity and power.
Though he took his eyes off of Magus and back to the man at the counter, and his aura of being the lost wanderer returned as his eyes lightened up a bit.

Magus leered at the pale figure, even more stark white then himself. The mage snorted, and turned on heel, stalking back up the stairs, his boots silently padding against the stairs.

'Interesting...' the man thought to himself as a grin appeared on his lips. They would meet again, and he was sure of that. Now he just awaited word from the man behind the counter for vacancy.

"Sure, you can have the room next to that eerie mage fellow, and you caught me in a good mood so... 1 gold if you please." He said. The presence of this man was slightly intimidating, he tightened his grip of the dagger he kept underneath the tavern, just to be safe. Though Mr. Hootenhagen appeared to be a stouty old man, he had quite the battle expierence on his side. He tossed the room key to the man, "have a nice night!" He said most politly.

"Thanks..." the man said as he caught the key with perfect precision, turned around and muttered quietly to himself, "Strange old man..." He tossed a bag of gold coins over his shoulder and onto the bartop. On it was a small note that said 'Keep the change.' So he made his way up the stairs and to the room number that was on his key. He opened the door, closed it behind him quietly and just laid on the bed for hours on end.

A loud roar of laughter came from the bar as and already drunk man laughed at something an already drunk kerath said. "You should have used green dye as well." he exclaimed causing Tion to have wine rush out his nose and cessily to spit out the tea that she was drinking.
"Will you shut up Bartholomew you will kill us all!" The elf said half serious as she wiped the tea off her chin. Tion was coughing and groaning as he cluched his burning nose. The warrior just grinned at her and drained his tankard.

*Magus closed the door to his room, placing a magical lock and an alarm spell on it. *nodding, the lithe mage moved over to to a small table with two chairs by it. He had to take time to collect his thoughts.. He wasn't what one would call a true mage, more of a sorcerer, so he didnt need to prepare his spells ahead of time.. but he did need time to rest, meditate, and recover from travel..
He took off his travel gear, pouches and all, and tossed his shirt on top of the pack. Hitting down again at the table, he removed an amulet from his neck, which had always been hidden under his shirt and cloak. Tears welled up in his eyes when he looked at his reflection in the gem's facetted surface. "Schala.. where are you?" he asked the pendant with a thick voice.*

((*GASP!!!!* MAGUS HAS AN AMULET!!! ...idea theif... Dark has one, too...))
Naburine watches the VERY freaky man walk away, and even she shuddered. She had grown up with all sorts of disgusting things around, but never to disgusting as him. ((Am I the only one here that has obderved our dear Deliverance to be unable to make a character something other than a demi-god?))

The front door was then opened. With a rather tall man standing in the doorway, his face hidden by his cloak.
The man then walked to the front counter, and asked the inn keeper. "Can I get a room for the night?"

"I say, this place does seem to be getting full rather quickly." Naburine laughs without feeling and walks off in search of Annie, who had disappeared as soon as she got into the building.

(What?! This character is no where near a demi-god! He's a freakin' vampire that can turn into a hawk! How is that God-like?! Would you like to bring in Shadow and see where that leads to? +sigh+ You know, I was making an attempt at making a normal character, and you just crushed what hopes I had... +goes off to sulk in the corner+)
After a nice long while of rest for him, it had soon become dark. The young man made his way out of his room, making sure to lock it behind him, and down the stairs. He took note of the people hanging around in the bar area, but quickly dismissed their presences from his mind. People that were in his way, convienently moved out of the way for him. His presence was easily noticed as his size gave some of it off, but much more intimidating was the commanding and powerful aura surrounding him. (I said powerful, not God-like, and all fighters should posess some kind of aura something like it) Making his way out of the tavern, he kept the key in his pocket and began to roam the village for something to eat.

"Goodness, I am running out af vacancies!" Arther Hootenhagen tossed the room key next to the freaky vampire character's room. "3 gold please." He raised the prices only a slight bit higher, not to frighten the mans wallet, or to rid himself of the friendliness he showed his other customers.

(( bah humbug i say, Magus' amulet has been a big part in the story of magus the book by Zealpropht, one which i did not write mind you, and the game Chrono trigger...))
*The mage remained locked up in his room long past nightfall. From outside of the closed curtain, one could see flickering of candlelight in his window.*

Bartholomew came out of the tarvern area of the inn laughing at something. It was obvious he was quite drunk. Cessily was helping him up the stairs. "Your going to regret this tomarrow my friend. I dont know what caused you to do this when you know that we have to go early tomarrow."
Tion grinned at the scolding his human freind was getting and followed the two up ready to take to his bed aswell. Though his path was not as straight as he would have liked and he clipped the doorframe of his room.

"Here you go." The tall personage then handed the man his payment and looked around the room taking a mental picture of all the people in the area. He then picked up the key off the floor and went to his room, not revealing his face to anyone.
