"Hmph.. petty magic.. A dabbler if that.. We dont need to worry about that one." muttered the mage... It was of course a complete, yet well hidden, lie, but he didnt need to worry the party.. If someone was killed it wouldn't be his fault...
(( ack, try not to roleplay for the party))
"Lets go on to the next town.. and quickly.. i dont want to waste anymore time on fools showing off their silly tricks..."

Tion frowned at that. "Is it pick on Tion day all of the sudden?"
"Get over it." Cessily said glancing all around. "Why didnt you let me get him?" Bartholomew complained looking like a sulking child.

And there was yet another charater whatching this take place. He avoided detection of the party, he was merely there to study the situation.
As he thought to himself, he realized that these people waren't as safe as they so thought themselves to be, for he has delt with these type of situations before...
He did show himself for one reason, he became aware of the fact that there was a mage among them, and did not know how many more there yet were.
And he told himself that he would continue to watch over these people and remain undetected. And wait for the dark one to show himself once more...And only then will he make his presents known.

Overhead, there flew a black hawk. This hawk had shimmering black feathers, and was much larger in size than any other species of hawk, known to man. The eyes of this hawk were a burning bright yellow. Not the color you would see in a rianbow, but rather a yellow that you would see in a fire. Its wings were spread wide as it flew in the direction of the village ahead. It took note of those who were below on the road, as the eyes of the hawk were sharper than anything known to the human mind, and it saw everything in great detail. It proceeded as normal, in hopes of finding a place for lodging in the village up ahead.

((Let's go!! Time warp!))
Annie sighed as they walked to the inn. They had been on the road for hours, and now she was in a mountain village that meant so much to her.

"Alright bring out the ale!" Bartholomew said eagerly. "Oh and Tion is paying."
"WHAT?" the kerath yelled. "I'm not paying for your nasty drinks!"
Cessily pinched the bridge of her nose as she watched th two bicker about who was paying. "Right so are we staying the night or are we going to keep going while there is still light and camp out?"

"Yes, let's stop here." Annie had let her comment burst forth a bit too quickly. Naburine looked sharply at her, but Annie blushed and walked hurredly on to a building entiltled The Foaming Barrel.

*Magus looked up at the sign, but took little other notice. He padded into the Tavern, looking around. It seemed quaint.. wooden tables and chairs, a bar in the corner of the room, another counter for the inn recipients and travellers, and an upstairs where the rooms were likely at.* "This must be a large town.. or a popular route," he said quietly.

"Welcome travelers!" A human man from behind the counter said. "You all look rather tired, please stay, I require no payment, you appear to have had quite the day anyway." He tossed the room key to Magus, who was in front of the party. "Bars that way, if you want a drink, help yourself. By the way names Arthur hootenhagen." At that the man went back to the bar and began to talk to the bartender.

(( HA! great idea.. )) *Magus frowned.. If he offered no fee, how was it that he could afford a place like this? The town surely couldnt be THAT large..* "Verywell then..." the mage said, heading up to the rooms.

The door to the tavern opened, and in came a man of about six feet in height, and a body build that would make some weight lifters a little scared to look at him. He had paper white skin color and shimmering silver hair, with bright yellow eyes that seemed to glow even amidst the brightness of his body. A strange aura surrounded him though...
"I would like some lodging for about a day or so," the man said as he looked towards the counter, "I'm willing to pay whatever cost." From the sound of his voice, he sounded exhausted, but his body would not show it.

Magus stopped at the foot of the stairs as the new traveller entered. He shuddered slightly, and slowly turned around to see who entered.
Ah.. A child of Caine.. I should have known. He thought.
