(Hehe wrong "role")
The 23rd Psalm -----------------------------------
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. -----------------------------------------------------------------
The best Psalm in the Bible in my opinion. For those who didnt think me a religious man. Ye be mistaken.

I came up with this one as I was walking home today...
"Funny...the wind always seems to blow toward me, trying to push me back...too bad it's just wind."
wrote a uplifting rant about it to... ----------------------------------------------------------------------
From delusion lead me to truth From darkness lead me to light From death lead me to immortality.
Let there be peace everywhere
When the five senses and the mind are still, and reason itself rests in silence, then begins the Path supreme -------------------------------------------------------------
You will always have a shoulder to cry on...heck, I'll give you two. -Chris
that last one was clever!

All the courage quotes I could muster up...
M. Scott Peck:
The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.
Dorothy Thompson: Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.
James Freeman Clarke: Conscience is the root of all true courage; if a man would be brave let him obey his conscience.
Marian Wright Edelman: Whoever said anybody has a right to give up?
Ralph Waldo Emerson: When a resolute young fellow steps up to the great bully, the world, and takes him boldly by the beard, he is often surprised to find it comes off in his hand, and that it was only tied on to scare away the timid adventurers
Theodore H. White: To go against the dominant thinking of your friends, of most of the people you see every day, is perhaps the most difficult act of heroism you can perform.
And, because I feel romantic tonight, her are some love quotes...
Amy Bloom: Love at first sight is easy to understand; it's when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle.
Ann Landers: If you have love in your life it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don't have it, no matter what else there is, it's not enough. (that one is sooooo perfect)
Bertrand Russell: Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love, the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind].
Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness. In the union of love I have seen In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.
With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of [people]. I have wished to know why the stars shine.
Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens, But always pity brought me back to earth; Cries of pain reverberated in my heart Of children in famine, of victims tortured And of old people left helpless. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, And I too suffer.
This has been my life; I found it worth living.
Bible: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
C.S. Lewis: Why love if losing hurts so much? We love to know that we are not alone
Elizabeth Barret Browning: Whoso loves, believes the impossible. (also perfect.)
Erich Fromm: Infantile love follows the principle: "I love because I am loved." Mature love follows the principle: "I am loved because I love." Immature love says: "I love you because I need you." Mature love says: "I need you because I love you."
Francis David: We need not think alike to love alike.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: If I am not worth the wooing, I am surely not worth the winning.
And lastly, my favorite quote of all time...
Herman Hesse: If I know what love is, it is because of [glow=red,2,300]you[/glow]

No reason in particular for this one, I just like how he explains his feelings...
Anakin: From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you- I can't breath. I'm haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating... hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me... what can I do? I will do anything you ask... if you are suffering as much as I am, PLEASE, tell me.
Hehe, not a very good love quote, but, I like it anyway.

Sephiroth: What is most important to you? Will you give me the pleasure of taking it away from you? Cloud (that's me): I pity you who understands nothing. There isn't anything that's not important to me!
Kadaj: This planet doesn't like our powers. It's trying to stop us by racking our bodies up with pain! We will join together as a family, and strike back at the planet!
Cloud Strife: Can sins be forgiven? Vincent Valentine: ...I've never tried it. Cloud Strife: [surprised] Tried it? Cloud Strife: Tried it... Cloud Strife: [to Marlene] Marlene, we're going home! Cloud Strife: [to Vincent] I'll try it. [he begins to walk away] Cloud Strife: I'll let you know how it turns out
Cloud Strife: I know I'm not fit to help anyone... No one...
Yuffie Kisaragi: [watching Cloud and Kadaj fight] Cloud! I brought you materia! [the Highwind shakes] Yuffie Kisaragi: Hey! Don't shake it! Barret Wallace: Hey, Cid! Hurry and let us down! Cid Highwind: Shut up! Just jump! Jump! Vincent Valentine: Let them fight by themselves. Yuffie Kisaragi: Wha? Vincent Valentine: That guy's a spirit of Sephiroth. You could say he's kind of like a larva. Yuffie Kisaragi: Larva? Bug? He's a bug? Cait Sith: Calm down, Princess. Cid Highwind: You're saying that he'll turn into Sephiroth one day? Tifa Lockheart: Hey, do you think Cloud knows that? Vincent Valentine: Probably. Tifa Lockheart: I see... Let's leave them alone. Yuffie Kisaragi: I don't get it! Explain! Cid Highwind: It's man's talk. Yuffie Kisaragi: Discrimination! Discrimination! Cait Sith: Aaagh! Calm down, Princess! Barret Wallace: Us men don't understand either! Tifa Lockheart: Two years ago... that strong feeling he definitely had during the last battle... though it was just two years ago, somewhere along the way, he lost that feeling. I think that it brought Cloud back to us. Barret Wallace: Tsh... I'll wait 10 minutes. Yuffie Kisaragi: Cloud sure is a pain, just as always, huh? Tifa Lockheart: [smiles] He's honest

I have always feared women...They are a much more powerful gender than men. I'm not making us men seem weak, but you have to admit, we could not survive pregnancy, at least I know I could'nt.

Not really a subject to be discussing in the quotes section, but I agree, in some aspects, women are a stronger gender, but I like to think that the gender role and strength is a symbiotic relationship that relies on each other, rather than distinguishing between one and the other. But that's just me. ^_~

Star Trek: Nemesis quotes
[speaking of his first officer] Picard: He's a stern martinet would never, ever allow me to go on away missions. Data: That is the regulation, sir. Starfleet Code section 12, paragraph 4... Picard: Data... Data: Sir? Picard: Shut up. Data: Yes, sir. Picard: [to the wedding guests] I've waited 15 years to say that.
Picard: That's what it is to be human, to be better than we are.
